Re: Porting number, VoIP unlocks, etc.
Thanks for your prompt reply. I guess I'd port my cell # into Fongo account for a while first and then once I'm happy with the transition I'll move it to FPL/asterisk.

Porting number, VoIP unlocks, etc.
I'm considering Fongo/FPH as a way to keep my Canadian number working when I cancel my cell service. What I'd like to do is to port my number to a VoIP service and set up asterisk to receive calls, but I'd very much like to have an option of launching an app to check for texts once in a while. TBH I...

Re: New (paid) Android version vs old free Android version
Jake, thanks for reply. When I searched in the store, I only found the World version, however following your link I can get to the Canadian version as well. Dunno why I thought paid version includes free texts, I'm guessing I was confused by the following in the description: * FREE unlimited incomin...

Even if support people are here every other day, I would have expected a reply by now.

New (paid) Android version vs old free Android version
Haven't used Fongo for some time and noticed that there's a new paid app in the Play Store. I've signed up back when the app was free and the text messages were a paid add-on. I still have a backup of the old app thanks to TitaniumBackup, and I'm wondering what the differences would be between the t...

Re: service down or just me :)?
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the entry level support personnel is capable of resolving the issue either, that's why I'm posting my frustration here.
PS. I did of course reply to the ticket with all the irrelevant information requested.

Re: service down or just me :)?
Jake -- the calls made to my number (from the cellphone, landline, non-internet connected world) result in that message. I honestly don't see how making calls out would help troubleshoot it (I do get "circuits are busy" message tho). I did submit a ticket right away and to add an insult to...

number not in service
I've had my FPL number for a few years, but today I've noticed that any calls to that number end up with the voice message "the number you have dialed is not in service". Howcome my number is suddenly not in service? I've logged into my FPL account and everything looks fine, even the deskt...

Thanks, PMing the ticket number helped! My issue has been resolved.

Thanks, that could be a reason although I could swear the dial tones worked last week and I didn't change anything.

Thanks!
I'm using sipdroid (android app) as a client. Not really sure what else I should add about my setup.

Re: Problems with dial-tones
I'm using asterisk and I believe it's set to use g279a on the outgoing call and dial tones do not seem to go thru. If I PM you my sip-login can you look into logs or help me troubleshoot this or it's not something you normally do?
