Yes, and both incoming and outgoing CID work perfectly fine with it and freephoneline.

I would try a different model and brand of phone as someone else suggested in that thread.

Yes, without paying $50, you don't have a Freephoneline SIP account. Once you pay, you are provided with SIP account setting information, including a password.
