Re: Caller ID

It seems to be working for me in some fashion or another - sometimes the phone I am calling to displays "blocked", other times "unknown", and sometimes it displays an erroneous number which if dialed seems to go nowhere.

"We're sorry your number cannot be completed as dialed ..."

"... please check the number and dial again. Three, four, eight." This is the error message I am starting to get on most calls. Although this has nothing to do with the problem, it is a female voice and she sounds like she is from Quebec. Before this I was getting "This account is alr...

Caller ID Block Working Again

I can confirm that my CID block is working today. Both *67 and *81 work as per call blocking ... so 911 identification should no longer be an issue and the CID block should remain a permanently supported feature - wishful thinking???

Re: Dropped Calls - Are you experiencing random dropped calls?

Here's unfortunately where FPL, Fibernetics in particular, may not be looking at the "big picture". As most people may or may not know by now, FPL's parent company Fibernetics offers business solutions for Internet and phone, most likely a much more profitable business model than FPL, Worl...

Re: Caller ID

I see this fell off the FPL Announcements and is no longer a Sticky. Does this mean FPL won't be supporting this feature anytime in the near future? I guess the problem of dropped calls most people are experiencing does need to get addressed first.

Re: Dropped Calls - Are you experiencing random dropped calls?

It's always a good idea to have a backup solution in place whenever possible. I think even if FPL resolved their issues with dropped calls & CID block not being functional, I would still retain my other VOIP provider. Don't get me wrong - I'm not slagging FPL or Fibernetics - they just need to g...

Re: Random disconnect

I am using Linksys SPA 3102. I had about 10 calls drops over a month. My phone links goes silent. There is no pattern. However, I have noticed that calls ranging from 5-20minuts while drops. On the other hand, I had used this router with Internetcalls.com before. Never had a call drop… Thanks Baska...

Re: Caller ID

You are correct, the SPA2102 & PAP2 are very similar and have similar web interfaces. Unfortunately, I have tried your suggested settings but CID blocking still does not work. You're right, the "User 1" tab, under "Supplementary Service Settings", "Block CID Setting:&quo...

Re: Caller ID

I re-confirmed my address and contact info with tech support at FPL and agreed to the terms & conditions of E911 (although I already had to do this when I first signed up over a year ago). They said to post here to ask for help regarding a "special" setting change on my ATA because the...

Re: Caller ID

Please changed the heading - it is not resolved! How did you come to the conclusion that it is resolved? Did FPL officially re-enable it? I can confirm that I still don't have Caller ID block and I'm sure I am not the only one. For those of you that somehow it is working for, any tips on how you got...

Re: Caller ID Blocked Disabled

I guess it would depend on who was being mugged or if my car was involved in the accident as to whether or not I would take the time to block my caller-id before calling 911. ;) Am I being too pushy with wanting you to at least enable the per call blocking feature??? *67 like Ma Bell has would be aw...

Re: Caller ID Blocked Disabled

How about just enabling *82 per call blocking? Who needs to block every call anyways?

You can leave *67 all call blocking disabled until you get the 911 issues resolved. - Or just change *67 to per call blocking like Ma Bell.

This sounds like an amicable solution for all parties involved.

Re: Caller ID Blocked Disabled

What??? I think I get more confused the more I read your post. Are you saying you are disabling the per use CallerID block or all call CallerID block? I can't see why anyone would use the per use CallerID block in an emergency call to 911. Even more so, I can't see why a 911 service provider wouldn'...

Re: Caller-ID Block Not Working

Though I personally fail to see the relevance of CID block (why have a phone number when you're going to block it) If I owed you money and didn't pick up when you called, I'll bet you might consider blocking your caller-id before calling me again! Anyways, there are many legitimate uses for c...

Re: Caller-ID Block Not Working

It's good to know someone at FPL is reviewing the bug reports here. It's also good to know that you're not the only one having a certain problem so you can rule out your own individual setup. I'm sure constructive feedback & info makes it easier for FPL to sort things out from their end too. I a...

Re: SPA2102 and caller ID blocking

As of this past week, my outgoing caller ID is working correctly, but caller ID blocking has stopped working - although I have never had to use it before because my outgoing caller ID was always wrong anyways. As far as I can tell, it is a problem at FPL's end and has nothing to do with your setup.

Re: Caller-ID Block Not Working

Everything points to a problem at FPL's end so I would leave it up to them to remedy (I assume they read these posts - right?). Not that I am trying to deter you from trying, but any time spent making any changes at your end would most likely amount to a waste of time and possibly lead to other prob...

Re: long 20 sec. delay after call made and hear the rings

I believe in the simple wisdom of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". I have no problems with adding the "1" in front of the 10 digit number and I am guessing that has resolved Rajajis's issue. Maybe Rajajis can let us know if his problem is solved.

Re: long 20 sec. delay after call made and hear the rings

I noticed this when I dial only the 10 digit number. There is a way to change it in your dial plan but that's a bit advanced for me. The simple solution that works for me is just to add the "1" in front of the number or a "#" behind it. Then it will dial out immediately like a re...

Caller-ID Block Not Working

My outgoing caller-id block does not work. *67, *81, or any other code I try to use. I've had my FPL number for some time now and the outgoing caller-id did not work from day 1. When I contacted tech support, I was told that it was up to how the call was routed and sort of hit-or-miss if the outgoin...

Mine's been down since about 1p today and intermittently before that. My VOIP line from another provider has been fine throughout. (I'd mention the other provider but I don't want to break any forum rules).
