problems registring ATA
I've been using Freephoneline forever (over 10 years at this point i think?..) Switched only 2 adapters. Been using SPA112, 2 FXS for the last 2-3 years. I'm travelling quite a bit and not using phone line too often. Realized today that the phoneline hasn't been registring for the month or so - keep...

Re: switch between calls - ATA config - how to?
I had my own ATA before I joined FPL... But from what i researched there is no ATA config that might have any effect of switching between the calls / call waiting function. Can you probably post your config here?

switch between calls - ATA config - how to?
Hi. I wonder what ATA config should be in order to enable switching between calls? (ie, put the first caller on-hold, when someone else is calling in) I have SPA2102 in case that matters... So far, the 'old' method that used to work with Bell (aka, hitting 'headset up' on my phone) doesn't work - I ...

ATA Gateway setting to switch between calls on the same line
Hi, I can't figure out one thing. I'm trying to switch between two calls on the same line (ie, one call is in progress, then another person calls you and you are hearing those 'beeping' sounds indicating you have another incoming call). I _think_ I used to have this working by just pressing the same...

anyone experiencing issues in Toronto?
Experiencing issues with service in GTA area (416 number, through Sipura 2102 ATA) since around 11am this morning - the number can't register with the server. No changes to LAN config or ISP. Reboots, etc don't help. Anyone else experiencing similar issues today? Vlad PS: detailed syslog (at debug l...

service is down?
Service has been down for me since early evening (~6pm?) today, May 14. This is North York area of Toronto, ON. The 'registration state' says 'failed'. Goes without saying - I had no changes in the configuration of local infrastructure for the last 2-3 years .

Re: DTMF doesn't work for voicemail
Problem solved. All it took is a bit of motivation from an FPL support guy on the phone (Mike I think) who basically told me that he'd be of no help (because my ATA gateway wasn't bought from FPL, no matter it's pretty much the same CISCO / SIPURA unit that they sell) and I will have to find solutio...

DTMF doesn't work for voicemail
I'm having problem with my voicemail. I never had to access my voicemail from phone (through *98), so I tried it for the first time only today. And it seems like the DTMF doesn't work on both lines I have with FPL. The DTMF DOES work on regular calls (if I dial any other number). I've seen some ppl ...

Hi, I'm starting to get some weird problem: every time I call my number I'm getting a reply right away saying that "This account is already in use. Please contract your administrator if this is not true" (or smth very close to this). I'm hooked up through SPA 2102 ATA adapter. The service ...

Re: DTMF issues
Ok, forcing InBand DTMF worked. Just to make sure I have the other setting defined correctly, can you clarify which RTP payload settign u r talking about? I only have 'SDP Payload Types', but there are quite a few of them:
Thanks,
Vlad

Hmm, I'll check the settings once I'm home. Any other settings I should check that might impact DTMF functionality?

DTMF issues
Hi, I've noticed that I've started to experience issues with DTMF recently. Not sure when did it start - prob. around a couple of months ago. Interestingly, this happens all the time when I'm calling the numbers in the 'free' zone, but outside of my local zone (i'm in 416, calling numbers in 613). I...

Around what time was this done?.. I haven't seen any update on this one... Is this a recent change?Has anyone with dropped calls noticed any improvement since the new, bigger, drive was put in?

Hey, thanks for taking time to post back, Joe! So, now we know that those settings do change something... for more than 1 person :). For the reference, the screenshots and instructions are here: http://forum.freephoneline.ca/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=780&start=50#p5287. Thanks to brendany for poin...

Re: 5 - 90 Min into the call and drops out
Again,as I wrote on this or the other thread, to be absolutely honest, I personally do NOT _seem_ to experience the dropped calls issue anymore. The only thing I changed in my ATA settings for that was setting 'NAT Keep Alive Msg:' from the default value of '$NOTIFY' to '$PING', as well as changing ...

Re: 5 - 90 Min into the call and drops out
No, the problem HAS been identified and admitted by FPL (Kris) as a load balancing issue: http://forum.freephoneline.ca/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=756&p=4133&hilit=load+balancing#p4133 I'm not really sure why there are so many discussions around the router settings, when most people who DO exp...

Re: Choppy Incoming Voice During Calls
Yep... Or go through the config guides posted on the other board (ATA Configuration Settings or smth like that) - it has this setting there explicitly set to 0.020. You might actually want to go through the setup ref. guide anyways - some recommended settings there might improve the call quality / r...
