Re: Phone Number Porting Timelines
Looks like something unclogged in the pipes, just got an email saying the porting will be completed tomorrow. 14 days exactly to the hour. Friend of mine will be completed on Friday, also 14 days to the hour.

Phone Number Porting Timelines
From the site we actually have 2 porting timelines according to the FAQ: http://support.freephoneline.ca/entries/22907143-Keep-your-current-phone-number-porting- "Phone number transfers typically up to 5-7 days to complete." "Phone number transfers typically up to 14 days to complete....

Re: Using up world credits for local (310xxxx) calls
That worked, and by worked, I mean I didn't get charged. <mynumber> 14163102355 0:03 Jul 17, 2015 7:45:21 PM Jul 17, 2015 7:45:24 PM Normal call clearing CANADA $ 0.00 While it seems that I need to make an awesome call plan to append 416 to any 310xxxx call, this whole thing doesn't make sense to me...

Re: Using up world credits for local (310xxxx) calls
310 is an area code for Los Angeles County. If you dial 1-416-310-2355 where 416 is your area code, does the call go through? If yes, you could add the following sequence to your dial plan: <310:1416310>xxxx Hey Mango. Thanks for your suggestion, it worked and you owe me $0.06. Worked being I added...

Using up world credits for local (310xxxx) calls
Was just wondering where my world credits are going to... <fpl feedback> You should likely get a email report at the end of the month with the calls which are deducting credits since these are charges, rather than me plowing through the call logs. Even better it should email you instantly when the c...

Just tried this on my BlackBerry using the Taki App. I turned off all the codecs except for g722. When I placed the call I got an error 'unsupported media type'.

Not sure if that's fully correct but it looks like you are on the right track. For anyone searching these forums in the future, from 'what is a Voip dial plan': < : > Subsequence Substitution A sub-sequence of keys (possibly empty) can be automatically replaced with a different sub-sequence when y...

Re: Adapter g.722 capable
Their preferred codes are g711 and g729, while that doesn't limit the codecs to just those two for FPL I highly doubt that they support g722. Hardware availability looks lacking so there wouldn't be much incentive to add support for HD audio.

Re: Blocking calls on the ATA or on FPL site
I found an old post that suggesting blocking right on the phone. Apparently any phone made in the last 5 years has this. My new phone apparently doesn't have this option.
Is it safe to say there is no way to block calls? Anyone? Fongo staff?

While I wouldn't give out any account or phone information, can you provide more details about what you mean wrt 'going down'? Hardware information would be good too.

Re: Have to switch between SIP servers more often lately
I thought that would still support it with the "Prefer Primary SIP Server: ON". It will only fail over to the secondary if registration fails, and once registration expires on the secondary it will try go back to the primary.

Blocking calls on the ATA or on FPL site
Anyway to do this without blocking the individual numbers right on the phone? Is there an incoming number regex that can be added on the GS HT701? Not seeing anything obvious on the FPL site atm.

Re: Have to switch between SIP servers more often lately
Contrary to the suggested settings on the HT701 I have been using:
Primary SIP Server: voip
Secondary SIP Server: voip2
Prefer Primary SIP Server: On
I think the Suggested Settings should be updated to match.

Did you port your number over to your ISP? i.e. is this the same number that you had with FPL? Or did the ISP give you a new different number?

Re: [SOLVED]Issues with moving the ATA from a Switch to Rout
Thanks Mango. Looks like you were right. This likely had something to do with the fact that I hot swapped out the modem/router and the network topology while the switch, DHCP server and DNS servers stayed running. I tired it against last night with "NAT Mapping Enable" and it works just fi...

[SOLVED]Issues with moving the ATA from a Switch to Router
Not for the faint of heart... My modem is the SmartRG 505, and to it I have a switch hooked up (Cisco SG102-24). The ATA (Cisco SPA122) was hooked up to the switch and using the FPL Suggested settings (from the Forum). Life was smiles and sunshine. Due to the recent configuration changes, I had to m...

Re: [SOLVED]No inbound audio on ported number, different acc
I cannot think of anything Rogers could have done to change your situation - particularly your problems with outgoing calls. Most likely it was a coincidence that someone at Fongo fixed your account around the time you called Rogers. Even if the port had not completed successfully, this would not h...

Re: [SOLVED]No inbound audio on ported number, different acc
Looks like Mango is highly curious so for the users still with us: Number was ported Monday morning. I called Rogers to confirm, and they did. Tried to setup the number on Taki for BB10 and was having audio issues. The home number did not ring at all anymore using the Rogers equipment. In fact there...

Re: No inbound audio on ported number, different account wor
Looks like a gong show with Rogers porting. Had to call back Rogers to release the number they stated as being fully ported yesterday. Then had to call back again (yes 3rd time) to do it for real after they stated that it was good to go today. Is Rogers being intentionally problematic here? It's not...
