If your provider blocks the SIP protocol, there is nothing Fongo can do about it.
Using a VPN (or equivalent) seems to be the only workaround.

Re: Android App is not working properly
Turned out the providers block the SIP protocol. Installing a free VPN app solved the problem. Just for reference, I did some research and found three reputable VPN providers that also offer free plans with decent (or no) data caps: - Hide.me - WindScribe - Proton VPN All three support split channel...

Re: Android App is not working properly
Now even logging in doesn't work! Here's my submitted ticket: I cannot use Fongo on my Android phone while travelling in Israel. Notification says "Authenticated" for a while, then changes to "Authentication failed". This happens both on WiFi and on cellular data (with a data-ena...

No, I would have posted otherwise.
Please let me know if you get it resolved.

Authenticating on WiFi, not on mobile data
I am traveling abroad, using Fongo for calls to and from Canada.
The problem is that while Fongo works fine over WiFi, it refuses to authenticate over cellular data.
Please advise.

duplicate contact numbers
I have a contact with a number set up as (xxx) yyy-zzzz
When I try to call them on the built-in Android dialer, this is the number that I see.
When I try to call them on Fongo, I see two numbers: one as above and the other one as xxxyyyzzz (no brackets or spaces).
Why the duplication?

How do you do that?Jake wrote:What you can do is set up another account on the other device, then in your setting make the main number ring simultaneously on both numbers.

Dropped calls
My calls get disconnected almost every time, sometimes after 10 minutes, sometimes after just a couple.
This is really annoying since I have no cellular reception in the office and rely on Fongo and Wifi.
Please advise.

Settings are ignored
Hello,
Recently some of my settings started to be ignored. In particular:
1. "unknown" calls are forwarded directly to voicemail even though the setting is turned off.
2. Number of rings until sending to voicemail is set to 4, but the phone rings something like 10 times before forwarding.

Some callers go directly to voicemail
Hello, I am using fongo as a backup, forwarding calls from my main number when I don't have signal but there's WiFi. This is done using conditional forwarding (forward when not available) on my provider. It usually works fairly well, but there are some callers who are always directed to the fongo vo...
