Wow! You def know your stuff. Thanks for all the info. Very interesting how it's setup as a system.
I don't see a "thumbs up" or "like" option. If I'm just blind, pls let me know.

Re: Transfering my number out from here to a standard provid
Thanks for all the info. I know there are a LOT of phone numbers to pick from now that the area code is mandatory, but couldn't a very large exodus of customers porting their number leave a company with not enough numbers? I know this would be a rare and extraordinary event, but that Rogers outage m...

Re: Transfering my number out from here to a standard provid
I guess the issue is how the number is now categorized. VOIP numbers being in their own category that differs from landlines. Also, why can't it be released back into the general pool of numbers? As in, not specifically with Fiberrnetics? Also, nobody said anything to me about the number now being i...

Re: Transfering my number out from here to a standard provid
Something about software? A "technicality" that wasn't mentioned when I came over to FFO... This has been my number forever, and I only came over to FFO because I was told that I would have no problems if I ever wanted to transfer it. Not, no problems on our end, but they might say no, jus...

Transfering my number out from here to a standard provider.
Hi When I set up my Freephoneline account, or I guess, before I did, I made sure, and was promised that I would be able to take my number with me if I ever needed to. I am currently trying to do just that, but the company in my area that I am with says they don't think they can do it. That's Eastlin...

Re: A number I've called almost every day for years is now b
Thanks I'll do all that and get back to you.
That being said, I just want to throw this out there. I've been using this thing, successfully, for 2 years without issue, and I didn't change anything before this happened.
Just say'n.
Thanks.

A number I've called almost every day for years is now busy.
Hi, all of a sudden, my mothers number is always busy. I've already checked using my cell phone and it still works to call her but not Freephoneline using an Obi 202 on Windows 10 Pro. No setting or anything has been changed, so I'm not sure why this is happening now. Also, I tried rebooting the Obi...

Re: All of a sudden I get cut off with an error 480.
I'll try that stuff in the morning since it is now late. The only thing is that there was no power outage. Also, my Arris DG3270 is a modem and a router and I found that using the router that came with the modem gave me less hassles then my own router. I actually do have SIP ALG enabled. I know it i...

All of a sudden I get cut off with an error 480.
The number this happened to is my mothers so I've been calling it pretty regularly since getting FPL. Now all of a sudden I can talk for about 20-30sec and I get cut off with a recording saying, "The call was rejected by the service provider, error 480." I haven't made any changes to my Ob...

Re: Could use some more explanation about part of Obi202 Gui
Had a weird experience. I'll admit I'm not done configuring my Obi due to being sick but I didn't like the short ring tone so I changed it from the default (Ring #1) to 2 + 4, 2 + 4 and it worked, my phone range longer and then paused longer. The problem is that right after making the change my phon...

Re: Could use some more explanation about part of Obi202 Gui
OK I somehow made a booboo. I was at this step, - Dial ***0 from the phone connected to the OBi202 - Enter 30# - Press 1 to Enter a New Value - Press 1# to Enable - Press 1 to Save and I thought I did it right but the voice said "Option 1 set to (string of numbers). I need to know how to return...

Could use some more explanation about part of Obi202 Guide.
Its about the digimap. I understand the first 1 or 2 but why would the 3rd one be [2-9] when phone numbers can have the number 1 in them? Also I don't get the 211, 311,etc part. Those aren't area codes as far as I'm aware and I didn't see an explanation of what they represent. I also don't know why ...

Ok customer support is porting manually and I just got off the phone with them to pay for it since you can't pay online for a number that the website says can't be ported.

I need help. FPL site says it can't port my number but in 2 separate tickets I submitted I was told that it COULD be ported. If this needs to be done manually who do I PM? I don't exactly want to post my phone number on a public forum.
Thanks

Re: Couple issues preventing me from signing up.
Then I should port my number before the ISP switch because my phone is through the same company. In fact, I think I've been paying for a version of VOIP this whole time. My phone is through my ISP and my phone line connects to a box that has a Cable TV/Internet cable hooked up to it. One question I ...

Major hole in S/W-Ontario coverage.
There doesn't seem to be ANY coverage in the counties of Huron, Perth or Bruce. Huron county is the centre point and would be an ideal spot for new service. A lot of people live in those areas because of Lake Huron and its like a black hole or dead zone in Ontario.
Thanks

Re: Couple issues preventing me from signing up.
I submitted a ticket with my town, postal code, and number and they said they can port it, so that's great news. I tried your suggestion about the URL and I still got the error. I'll submit a ticket about it on Monday. I asked this in another forum but I might as well ask it here too. How long after...

Re: Couple issues preventing me from signing up.
For 3, does that mean I won't get free local calls with FPL in my town, or just that I can't get a new number from my town? Which doesn't matter since I'm porting my old number over.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Couple issues preventing me from signing up.
1. I had to use my cell pay as you go phone to get the SMS text for part of the registration process. I then changed it to my landline that I want to port but later in the registration process it still showed my cell number so I put my landline number in again and it told me I had changed my number ...

Re: Freephoneline - $79.95* - things you need to know
Thanks for all the info. I actually did submit a ticket yesterday and Fongo said my number could be ported which was a big deal to me. I did know about the $80 unlock fee and the $25 port fee, plus the money I spent on the Obi, but I figure I'll make all that back in a few months at the most. I also...

Re: Freephoneline - $79.95* - things you need to know
I'm a little confused about a couple things. I have an Obi202 on order so I would be going with FPL but FPL and Fongo are basically the same company (sister companies) but FPL doesn't show my town as one of the places it services but Fongo does. Also Fongo says it can port my number but I'm not sure...
