Confused?
Hi...either I am confused or the customer service rep I spoke with today is confused. Here's what happened.... Last year I bought the "full meal deal" DSL home internet service, ATA, config file, modem, number ported etc...the whole nine yards. Last week I cancelled the DSL home service, b...

Charged for World Credits
Hi, this morning I received an email invoice from Fongo for the purchase of $5 world credits....I did not order this. How do I go about contacting someone to have this reversed?

Sporadic Outages
I've been experiencing random "red flashing light" on my HT 286. When I see this, there is no dial tone on the line. I've been PM'ing with Fongo Mike about this and just for fun I called customer service. I've been reading on here about how friendly and helpful the CS reps are, however I w...

Set up QOS on Dlink
Hi there, my Dlink DIR-625 has a QOS engine, but I have no idea where to start to prioritize my VOIP.
Any suggestions would be appreciated...the ip of the Grandstream is 192.168.0.198, I don't know which ports to specify or ip range etc.
Thanks in advance

Loss of service Thursday night
Was there a bump at the server end around 9PM last night?
My wife was making a call, the service failed and took a few minutes to come back, and when it did, there were 3 messages that were about 10 days old in my VM.
Just curious.

Re: Thomson 784 - Message Waiting Indicator & "Private"
I had the message waiting problem as well with this unit. Got a second one...same problem. I ended up sending it back and getting a seperate modem and ATA, now it works perfectly.

Re: Caller ID issue
Same with me...it seems the ATA was not adjusting for daylight savings time...so I manually changed the time from 5 hours to 4 hours (eastern) and de-selected the option to automatically adjust the time.

Re: MWI - Message Waiting Indicator not working
I still have no audible message waiting. I have tried the reboot, checked settings in Thomson ATA etc, messaged tech support and PM'ed FPL-Steve, and haven't heard anything back. This feature has never worked for me.

Re: Noise on line
Interesting...think another call to tech support is in order.
Can one of the freephoneline mods jump in here with an opinion?

Re: Noise on line
Update...I called tech support, and they were not aware of any setting in the Thomson 784 that would cause the static / tone I am experiencing. So far, I have tried different phones (corded and cordless), disabled wireless in modem, plugged the phone / modem / phone and modem into different plugs. I...

Re: Noise on line
I'm not sure where to start looking in the settings of the router / modem / ATA combo.
Tried the #, didn't work.
Perhaps a call to technical support is in order.

Noise on line
More of a question than a problem report... I have ported my home number to Freephoneline, bought the Thomson 784 router/ATA, and 2 things I have noticed: - slight high pitched tone / static which did not exist before on regular phone line - when making a call, press Talk on Panasonic cordless, dial...

New customer
I just wanted you to know that my new service has been set up and is working perfectly, ahead of schedule. First, the modem showed up in 2 days, and number porting from Yak went very quickly...around 8 or 9 days rather than the advertised 2-3 weeks. The Bell showed up on time to install the dry loop...

Re: Modem / Router problem
Tried turning off the UPnP...same result.
My home phone number has not yet been ported, so I had not hooked a phone up to the unit yet, so I did...same result.
Again I'm no expert, but there should be no reason why this should be happening with wired connections.

Re: Modem / Router problem
I haven't had my number ported yet, so the stuttering is on the audio / video. Everything is hooked into the router, the O Play media player accesses the movies etc from the hard drive in the network attached storage, but the throughput does not seem to be able to keep up like the old Dlink router d...

Re: Modem / Router problem
The audio / video is on a Dlink DNS-323 network storage...connected to the Thomson 784 with a CAT 5 cable. Same setup as before, but now I have pausing / stuttering.

Modem / Router problem
Hey, I'm brand new here and have come up with a problem with my new Thomson 784. My old setup was Speedtouch modem into a Dlink DIR-625. Attached was my computer, DNS-323 NAS, and an Asus O Play media player. Hooking the same items up to the new Thomson 784, everything connects ok, but while playing...
