Re: New to Fongo
Try phoning the sales office at 1-855-553-6646. They are the ones responsible for shipping out the ATA adapters.

Follow Me Settings
I'm a longtime Freephoneline customer who has just switched over to Fongo Home Phone. I'm trying to set up the Follow Me feature, but every time I try to save my info, I get an error message. Strangely, some info seems to stick. But I haven't been successful in getting the follow me phone number to ...

Re: Voicemail: What worked for me, plus Questions
Perhaps the problem isn't with Freephoneline but rather with the mail app for Windows 10. If I check my email on Gmail using a web browser, the audio file is there. But in the Windows 10 Mail app, it doesn't show up!?? Thanks for your attention!

Thanks for your reply, Liptonbrisk. Mine is set to 'Copy' too. The setup has worked fine for years until the audio file went AWOL recently.

Re: Voicemail: What worked for me, plus Questions
When I get a voicemail, I get an email but there is no audio file attached. Otherwise, voicemail is working as it should. Does anyone else have this problem with the email?

Well, I can't help you with your problem, but I can say that none of these problems are happening to me. So the problem is not general.

Freephoneline and 'call back'
When I travel overseas, I use a travel sim in my cellphone which uses the 'call back' system. It works just fine with landlines, but does not work with Freephoneline. (The return call never comes, so I can't connect.) Is this a known issue? Is it the same with all VOIP setups?

I found that Gmail was sending my voicemails to the Spam box. Using a Yahoo or Outlook email address fixed that problem.

Re: Bud Phone Website Moved to ?
I have the same problem. I am directed to the Fongo login page, not the old BudPhone page. But my login credentials are refused. The number is still alive and it will receive calls. I really like my number and would like to keep it. Is there a way to get it functioning under Fongo or Freephoneline? ...

Try resetting your HT701 (via the pinhole) and reenter your info. I'm just guessing here because I have the same ATA and have no problems.

Re: Buzzing in
In my condo, I just plug a spare phone into the old phone jack (which is disconnected from Bell). I get a dial tone, but can't call out. However, it operates the door buzzer.

Re: Fongo in the USA
On the other hand, while you are in the States, if you call a local U.S. number, this would be a long distance call. It would be as if you called them from Ottawa.

The Grandstream HT701 is a solid device. I believe it's the one Fongo provides with the Fongo Home Phone.

Re: HT 286 ATA
The problem may be caused by the firmware. Grandstream Web site (section Gateways and ATA's, Discontinued products but still supported) shows firmware release 1.1.0.45 for the HT286. Enter the ATA IP address in your browser (you will get it by pressing *** on your phone set), password admin. Select...

Both myself and my girlfriend have been having exactly the same issues with our Grandstream H286. This problem has just appeared recently, after many months of trouble free service. I have changed both of our ata's to Grandstream H701's, and so far, the problem has gone away. There seems to be somet...

I have been getting this same problem recently. In fact, it happened to my phone just 1 hour ago. My girlfriend has a similar situation. We have been using Grandstream H286 ata's for 2 years without issue. So this problem has just cropped up. The settings have never been altered during that time. I ...

Same problem for me this morning. But switching to voip2 worked. Strange, because I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago and solved it by going the other way. My girlfriends phone had the same problem a couple of days ago.

I had a problem similar to this recently. Try using this setting in your ATA.
