This has been discussed many times. FPL does not officially support G729a. It works on outgoing but not on incoming. If you want to use G729a for incoming, you will need another provider.

zombie999, what device are you using to make these calls where the outgoing caller ID is failing to show? Device should not matter as the caller ID is set by FPL and cannot be overwritten, right? I get them from time to time (rare) on random email addresses. However this is not a yahoo-gmail-hotmail email address. It's my own domain name and email is used ONLY for FPL. It is not a common name, so the only way they got it is from FPL.

It's still the routing issue. Do you have SIP ALG? If so, try turning it off if you happen to have the problem again.

Google voice has something for you.

FPL does not query CNAM. In Canada caller ID name is sent with the call. So if you get a call from a canadian landline or rogers cell phone, caller ID name will usually show.

What you need to do is try another provider and see if you are having the same problem. If you are, the problem is your ISP or your gear.

I don't think they should allow this. It would just open up the network for abuse.
