With the phone connected directly to the ATA, I tried the *** with the internet connected and without the internet connected, also before power cycling and after power cycling. I hear only static in all cases.

LinkSys wrt54gs v.5

No dial tone. Middle of the city of Mississauga.

ports 5060 - 6060 UDP for ATA IP
ports 10000 - 20000 UDP for the ATA IP

I configured the router this way. What should I do when I connect the ATA to the cable Internet modem directly?

Neither work for me. I still hear nothing (only static and no dial tone) and the other person can hear me.

Can you please email me the manual. By the way, I hear nothing from the phone, only noise.

Good point. No I did not. What do I need to change to test the ATA directly with the Cable modem (without a router)?

Thanks dibsmft. I do appreciate your help! I connected the ATA to the Cable modem yesterday (by passed the router) and I had the same problem. I will repeat this test today again to confirm. What is next? Should I contact Acanac (my ISP) and ask them to open specific ports? Do I need to change anyth...

I connected a phone directly to my ATA. It worked well for a day and then it started to have high noise (static). I have a very hard time hearing the person I am talking to.

I setup the voice mail for after 5 rings. When someone calls me they hear the 5 rings before they get the voice mail, however my phone (the receiving phone) rings only once and stops ringing after. How can I get it to ring 5 times?

My house has 4 phones (2 cordless and 2 desk phones). Since I moved to FPL, only one phone rings. The other 3 phones do not ring. I still can answer any incoming call using any phone and make a call using any phone. How can I get all 4 phones to ring?
