Re: Why does my Linksys E4200v2 router not detect my ATA?

I don't have your ATA, I have an OBi... but, for what it's worth, what I did on my ATA was to set it as dynamic (DHCP) but it was in the router's settings whereby I assigned a static IP for the MAC address of my ATA. It works fine as a result. If I did it the other way around, and went into the ATA'...

Re: short buzzing noise when I pick up phone

Ok, I think I solved this on my own... the short 1 second buzz noise I hear is caused by me picking up the phone during mid-ring, and the ring voltage gets erroneously transferred from the phone's ringer to the earpiece of the phone. Re: Thank you freephoneline

I couldn't say as I've got my Obi100 hooked up only to vtech cordless phones from one base station.
However, I gather that the Obi100 has a 5 REN (Ringer Equivalence Number), which should power up to 5 wired traditional bell phones.

When I called Freephoneline to get set up, I didn't have to wait long to speak to a customer service agent. Maybe a few minutes at most. That is a good s...
