Re: Follow-Me settings revert to Disabled by themselves?
"Call Forwarding settings will be automatically reset (turned off) for accounts which have not been used to place an outgoing call for 30 days; FreePhoneLine accounts are not intended to be used primarily as a call forwarding service." well that explains it! Thank you. People who make out...

Re: Follow-Me settings revert to Disabled by themselves?
this continues to happen at least 3-4 times a year. It's annoying and I notice now it requires you to re-enter all the follow me phone numbers (previously you could just flip the disabled to enabled and the previous numbers were there) but now..you need to enable it and re-enter all the numbers and ...

Re: Help! My account number is not valid? Account deleted?
Well, the question is were you inactive or not? From what I understand , if no outgoing calls are made on the account within 90 days the account is considered inactive. I guess I would apply to me since I use the account for incoming calls only. Never been a problem before, but since early 2019 my ...

Re: Help! My account number is not valid? Account deleted?
I sent in a ticket and they responded that my account was deleted due to inactivity. I was told to create a new account, and add a minimum of $5.00 in outgoing credits (that I will never use) to get it restored. So now it is working again. Maybe if everyone with a "freephoneline" account p...

Re: Follow-Me settings revert to Disabled by themselves?
Thanks, I usually don't make outgoing calls.
The situation is much worse this time, as on Feb 6/2020 my account was disabled completely and I can't log back on.

Re: Follow-Me settings revert to Disabled by themselves?
it has happened before and IIRC, it is within the first week of the month when it does happen.
maybe a system upgrade caused the problem.

Re: Question on Follow Me Settings -> Sequential ring mode
from how i understand it and how I've been using it, it works like this. it will dial your first number on the follow me list. it will ring # of times specified. if you answer within # of rings, it stops. if you don't answer, it will go to your next following me number on the list. if there are no a...

Re: Unauthorized caller on the line while talking!
I dropped bell land-line and switched to a voip provider. so, we'll see if this problem continues... right now the follow me stopped working. I don't know if this is just a temporary problem, or it just won't work now with the Voip provider i am using. Seems odd that it won't forward to my number an...

Re: Unauthorized caller on the line while talking!
In other words, if the second incoming call (if call waiting is being triggered when Follow Me is enabled) is a fax spammer, it stands to reason that second incoming call is coming from an FPL or Fongo Home Phone number. If that's the case, I would be opening a ticket to report abuse. that's what I...

Re: Unauthorized caller on the line while talking!
And you should also ensure you're not accidentally pressing the "flash" button on a wireless phone, or, otherwise, quickly pressing down on the hook. You may also want to check if there's a fault with the flash button on your phone (slightly stuck). I get no warning before the call barges...

Re: Unauthorized caller on the line while talking!
thank you for the detailed explanation, i'm switching the FPL follow me settings to forward to a VoIP (non-bell) line instead. If the problem persists, then I can assume it had nothing to do with the Bell Line (cross-talk, call waiting problem, or other bell related problem) I have not entered a tic...

Re: Unauthorized caller on the line while talking!
Ok that explains why I could never get to my voice.mail, since all my other lines are not fPL or fongo. But it doesn't explain why the 2nd call is not logged in the fpl account? If it actually forwarded the call then it should be listed in the log, Probably the easiest solution is to dump my fpl acc...

Re: Freephoneline Website
I'd suggest anyone with a FPL account change their passwords. If someone unauthorized can easily add a script on the log in page of the site, they could have easily stolen user names / emails, data files that might contain encrypted passwords etc. and more from the server or who else knows what.
