Re: Obi VoIP adapter no longer registering with FPL
Okay, I followed those steps below and progress was made. I could dial out and place a call. That person could hear me talk but I couldn't hear them talk. I checked the SIP settings again and there was nothing in the OutboundProxy field so I entered voip.freephoneline.ca and I can hear the person on...

Re: Obi VoIP adapter no longer registering with FPL
Thanks for the tip. I didn't have an OBi Expert Configuration entry on my dashboard. I was wondering what you were talking about before when you said to click on the "E". What a pain in the ass it was getting into the advanced configuration menu before. Phew! Take a look at http://i.imgur....

Re: Obi VoIP adapter no longer registering with FPL
They are all solid green. I called **9 222-222-222 and I was able to reach the echo test server and hear my voice. There is a dial tone but when I dial a number all I hear is silence even though the 2nd and 3rd LED lights are flashing. Make sure that you see power LED shows solid GREEN. Then try to ...

Re: Obi VoIP adapter no longer registering with FPL
I posted a new topic yesterday but suspiciously it just disappeared into thin air. Is anyone else that uses an Obi adapter having problems connecting to freephoneline all of a sudden? It was working fine for quite some time but then all of a sudden out of nowhere it's not connecting to FPL's server...

Is anyone else having this problem? I have not changed any of the settings in my VoIP adapter but all of a sudden out of the blue I get, "Register Failed: No Response From Server".

Re: Weird calls from 1001
I am currently using an OBi202. My modem/router and ATA are not in DMZ mode. I don't have a 'Restrict Source IP' option. I have 5060 for my ProxyServerPort, RegistrarServerPort, OutboundProxyPort, X_EchoServerPort and X_KeepAliveServerPort. I have voip.freephoneline.ca for my ProxyServer and Outboun...

Weird calls from 1001
I just received over 10 calls in a row from 1001. The first few I answered and said hello but no one said anything and I heard two guys talking in the background in an unknown accent. Maybe Russian, Middle Eastern. As soon as I hung up, the phone would ring again so I kept answering and said nothing...

Log in to freephoneline.ca (link below) and then click on Settings. Click on the Follow Me Settings tab and under Options make sure Status it is set to Disable and then click Submit. Then click the Voicemail Settings tab. Where it says Rings Before Voicemail, make sure it is set to 5 and then click ...

Re: Incoming / outgoing call delays
Thanks Mike. I try. Have you upgraded your adapter to the latest firmware? Have you tried using the freephoneline softphone on your computer to make and receive calls to see if there is still a delay? Do you have UDP ports 5060-5061, 6060-6061 and 13000-13001 open in your modem/router? I have Linksy...

Re: Incoming / outgoing call delays
You can try the link below for your router/adapter at Cisco's website as well. It has a FAQ section and forums that might help. You can download the user guide and data sheet there too. You said you did a reset but did you do a factory reset? That would reset your adapter back to the factory default...

Re: FPL Forward To SIP
Try doing a master reset on your adapter, upgrading it to the latest firmware version and then entering only the fpl settings suggested by fpl. I'm pretty disappointed that FPL service has become so unreliable lately, and even more disappointed with how Fongo/FPL have dealt with (or rather not dealt...

Re: Incoming / outgoing call delays
I was tinkering with a Linksys SPA2100 I had lying around. I was having trouble dialing out as well. I would dial a number and it would take about 15 seconds to connect. I replaced the dial plan and it solved the problem. Copy and paste this dial plan exactly as shown including beginning and end rou...

Re: Who else is having issues with freephoneline?
I'm happy to report that my issues have been resolved. My lines were not working for over two weeks, until this past Saturday. I tried many things but none of them solved the issue. I decided to try a different VoIP adapter and my lines worked. Then I decided to do a factory reset on my PAP2 and re-...

For anyone having technical issues with fpl
I would suggest you do a factory reset on your VoIP adapter first. Then install the latest firmware for it. Then enter only the settings that fpl suggests for your adapter. After that, unplug your VoIP adapter from the electrical outlet. Then unplug your router and then modem or router/modem in one....

Re: Time to rejoice folks. I'm back in business!
I was thinking the same thing. I didn't understand how my lines could stop working all of a sudden. Many others were having issues around the same time too so I was convinced it had nothing to do with anything on my end. Hi, Glad to hear that it's back to normal. But I think Freephoneline actually c...

What do you mean, yeah right? Are you psychic? So you know what I have in my configuration settings? Well the "crappy" configuration I used is the same one suggested in the forum. Don't be ridiculous. ... The quality was actually better than freephoneline's ever was. ... Yeah, right...that...

Re: VOIP service is sporadic
I do not believe for one moment that the problem is on my end otherwise other VoIP providers would not work with my ATA. I must have tried about 5 different VoIP providers over the years and all of them worked with my ATA. freephoneline was working too until a few weeks ago around the same time when...

Re: Freephoneline Down
I have a Linksys PAP2 as well and my lines went dead two weeks ago now. It seems like fongo made some changes somewhere that made PAP2's no longer compatible with their service. That's what I think because other VoIP providers I tried work fine with my adapter. You guys change the IP address of the ...

Re: VOIP service is sporadic
I'm sorry you ported over your phone number. All of a sudden two weeks ago my freephonelines stopped working through my ATA. No one "seems" to know why. I tried everything I could think of. I rebooted my modem/router and my ATA several times. I entered the suggested SIP settings into my ad...
