freephoneline Straight to voicemail
so i have an fpl number since 2008, it was working fine until some time ago, then i noticed an increase in voicemails, until some one told me that usually there is no ring and the phone goes straight to voicemail. I have checked to ensure that call forward or the voicemail options are not enabled in...

Re: Follow Me & Iphone Apps
there is good and bad news, good news is that yes, ground wire push notifications do inform you of a call coming. bad news: most often by the time you have punched in your password on iphone and have started groundwire, the call will be gone. secondly the voice quality over 3g sucks, i bought ground...

SIP Transport, UDP Only?
I am trying to config fpl to use as my primary line on my iphone via Bria/Siphon/GroundWire etc, the problem is that all those apps eat up ALOT of battery about 70% down in 4 hours with any of the apps. the work around is to use TCP instead of UDP. but it seems like FPL dosnt support TCP yet? is the...

Re: linux pc client
My suggestion is download the Windows client and attempt to execute the .jar file with whatever Linux uses for Java. This method is quite a hit and miss, can't guarantee it can work, but since the client is indeed based on Java, you might just give it a shot. Worst case scenario, just use WINE and ...

Re: FPL Porting over from other VOIP Providers??
Currently you would have to be in one of the areas we as a company (Fibernetics CLEC) have CLEC status in, and of course have all the appropriate paperwork filled out on time ;) The two areas I'm aware that we cannot port are 450xxxxxxx and 819xxxxxxxx. wouldnt you loose a lot of numbers that way? ...

strange but worked, it would be interesting to know what went wrong.
FPL is great otherwise, but i think for a non technical person these kind of glitches could be hard to fix.

Re: service status page
i dont think you need a person to update a service status page, output from a service like http://www.websitepulse.com or similar could easily be placed in a static page and it updates whenever there is a change, you just need to get the service to monitor your systems for you and thats really easy ...

service status page
Hi, Given some outages in the past, and today as well i'd suggest to put up a page on the main fpl website to announce the status of the service, that way if it does go out some times, people will at least know and not bang their heads in the wall .... like i just did today before i checked out the ...

Re: is service experiencing some problems again or it's just me?
yes, it looks like there is some problem, i am facing the same thing, this has happened the second time since i switched from softphone to ATA, i think it would be a good idea to create a service status page in your profile or may be on the main page so that you can see what is going on and what is ...
