Re: Fongo Name Transition
I just installed the Android app and see I cannot login with my existing FPL account information. Will I be able to use my existing FPL number? I'm kind of suprised the answer is not easier to find unless I missed it.

Re: Install Softphone in my android?
I had bad luck with Viber a few days ago, it worked, but not well. Have been setting up and using 3CX for ANdroid with my SGS2 and voip.ms account this morning and had some success with using it on 3G, although not perfect. As for the original poster, the first reply is correct, you are not going to...

Remember PAP2T Did not accept incoming calls from Rogers?
THose venerable old timers amongst you that are still here and have not lapsed into dementia of old age may recall a post I made back when you still had to flip your cell phone cover to make or answer a call. For those not old enough to remember that, basically I could never get my cell phones that ...

Re: $10/month cell service on Bell Mobility+FFL
If you can use a WM6.5 Smartphone clone from Hong Kong (such as the Dual SIM/GPS one I have that cost $150.00), and have it on a 7-11 Speakout pay-go plan (which seems to be cheaper than Bell by about 30%), along with the unlimited browsing package they also offer for $10.00 per month, could that be...

Obihai OBi110 as an ATA for FPL?
I recently seen some posts regarding the Obihai OBi110 ATA. While it's main hope for a market share seems to be that it is an ATA for Google Voice, it apparently could work with other services such as FPL? So it begs the question would there be any reason why FPL users may want to consider it over t...

Re: Not Fixed: Followme Causes Inoperable Voicemail
Thanks, just tried setting it to 'forward' again but it reverted to 'none'. No email did come in BTW.

Re: Not Fixed: Followme Causes Inoperable Voicemail
Yes, I thought it was set to 'forward'. When I went into the setup page it said 'none', so I set it to 'forward'. After the page refreshed, it said 'none' again. I tried a test call. Then I tried 'copy' and same thing, page refreshed to 'none'. I've only been waiting a couple of minutes for an email...

Re: Not Fixed: Followme Causes Inoperable Voicemail
Thanks Kris,
I waited about a day or more before I remembered I had done it.
I've got FollowMe Mode set to 'never', and Seconds to voicemail to '30'. Is that what the problem is? I assumed because it goes to the voicemail prompt it was trying to take the voicemail.

Not Fixed: Followme Causes Inoperable Voicemail
I noted the topic was marked as fixed. Unfortunately in my case it does not appear to have been. I just tried another test call the other day and got the voice mail prompt. Left voice mail, but nothing appears in my voicemail box.

Re: [FIXED] Followme Causes Inoperable Voicemail
Thanks Kris.
I just gave it a try. I reset Follow Me to 'never' after it was set to forward. I get the voicemail greeting, and leave a message by counting to 20. Call back and press *98. Receive the system prompt, 'you have no new messages".

Re: Voicemail not recording.
I just tested it again. Called from my Telus cell phone and left a message. Waited a couple of minutes, no email. Picked up the line to check voicemail by dialing *98 and just got a bunch of clicking noises. Had to reboot the ATA. Then checked voice mail, "you have no new messages" is what...

Re: FYI: 'Copy Machine' Scam call I just got
Thanks for the suggestion, I just enetered the *77 code and will leave that in place. Previously I tried forwarding my FPL to my paid DID service which has comprehensive filtering options, but that seemed to have it's own problems as well. The one thing that has never been clear to me is which featu...

FYI: 'Copy Machine' Scam call I just got
I just got a call where the caller ID read: 'Private Caller'. Often I don't take those, but in this case I did. Female voice, "Copy center, we need to get the first 4 digits of your copy machine'. Me, "I'm sorry, I didn't get that, can you say again please?" She says again. I ask her ...

Re: Voicemail not recording.
That's correct, however the problem persisted after I used call forwarding. So it seems perhaps using the call forwarding initiated the problem, then it persisted after I turned it off.he did not indicate any call forwarding in place.

Re: Just got an invoice for SIP that was paid in Feb.
OK thanks Steve,
I figured as much.
The reason it caught my attention was because it was an 'Invoice' and asked me to send a payment ( a 'receipt' would have been perfect). However it is good to have an invoice for bookeeping, in fact it was a good reminder to enter it in my books as an expense.

Just got an invoice for SIP that was paid in Feb.
I just got an invoice (found in my Gmail SPAM filter) for my SIP settings dated July 10 from Freephoneline.ca for $52.50. However, my credit card was billed by 'Worldline Waterloo ON' on Feb 10 this year for that charge, for the same line (I only have the one line). Could this have been a billing er...

Re: Internet speed test
So those of you on cable are getting much faster download speeds. Rogers upload doesn't look too good compared to cogeco. I've heard that the cable co's are pretty stringent about charging extra for going beyond your upload limits, and that is a pretty small limit. Is that true? What are your downlo...

Voicemail not recording.
If I call my line and let it ring so voicemail kicks in, I get my recorded voicemail greeting. However after I leave a message and try to retrieve it, there's nothing there?
Trying to figure out if I've created a problem somewhere in the ATA perhaps?

Re: Great Service
Thanks for that, that's a great tip to have in your back pocket. So would you save each page you've modified in succession? EG: start at system and work your way through to User2? Then when you want to restore that saved page you open it up (in Dreamweaver or editor of your choice), and change <form...

Indeed, just tried it and it works like a charm. Now I just need to get used to '8 digit dialing' and add the # every time. Thanks much for the tip!

Re: Dial Strings - Configuration Tips, Debugging Help, etc...
jgionet76,
Looks like you may have missed my post, the string you finally found appears to be the exact same one that I posted above. However I still seem to get a delay when I dial a local number without the area code.

Re: Great Service
Just so other users of the PAP2T don't get too alarmed, I too was getting a lot of dropped calls before the FPL upgrades, and so far everything seems fine. While there may indeed be better ATA's out there, it's probably not entirely accurate to subjectively blame all the previous problems on a parti...
