Re: Whatsapp!
Hi I am thinking of paying to carry my number to Fongo. With a paid Fongo account will it increase my chances of receiving the Whatsapp verification code? Should I also pay for the text plan ? This FAQ mentions verifying with Whatsapp. https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/articles/212434926-SMS-short...

Re: Unauthorized Portout
You will have to ask them directly on all this. FPL does provide support, just not free support on getting your device working. https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/requests/new This problem has not been reported, to my knowledge, on this forum. Either people are not reporting it, or maybe it's not re...

Re: Cannot make incoming and out going calls
Someone more technical than me might be able to help you better, but I would say for sure you will need to make UDP ports for the RTP to go through. I did a quick search for "pfSense and Freephoneline" (Fongo's sister company) and one discussion pointed to this post. https://forums.redflag...

Re: Incoming calls not going through
I would say that because this happened after a power outage it more than likely has something to do with something at your house rather than at SS or FPL so checking things in your ATA is a good route to go. After that what I would do is either program the ATA to connect to FPL directly or use a sof...

Re: Sim Card Activation
Mine has 3G or LTE when the data is connected, so I would suggest that something is not set up right. Like Hanke I had to set up a data plan after my sim had arrived. I don't believe there was an option to do it before. On one phone that I installed it on, I had previously got the carrier to disable...

I seem to remember it was limited because of abuse at one time, I forget all the details though so I could be wrong. If you want to purchase bigger amounts you have to submit a support ticket https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/requests/new Not ideal by any means, but that is how they have it current...

Re: More timely voicemail delivery
You can get your voicemails emailed to you, that's what I do. It's pretty much instant.
https://account.fongo.com/admin/settings/voicemail/
You can chose either to forward or copy, the first will only email you, the second will also leave the message on your phone.

The MWI has always been terribly slow on all of Fongo's products.
My suggestion would be to get the messages emailed to you instead or the light will drive you crazy eventually

Re: Can't Port my Number
Unfortunately it's all down to exchanges and where Fongo has a presence on exchanges. There has to be a cut off somewhere, and it looks like you might have found one :) Location will not matter. Your account will effectively be fixed to wherever your number is. So if your number is an Ottawa number,...

Re: Can't Port my Number
These are the areas where Fongo can port in from https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/articles/212437366 If your town is on there you should be able to do it, but if you have already had a reply from support saying no, then that is probably the end of that. Fongo mobile can be completely free. It's fr...

If you look in your board settings you can see if it is set there correctly http://forum.fongo.com/ucp.php?i=165hanke wrote: On another note, I believe the Forum date is incorrect, out by a day.
Also at the bottom right of every page it should say what the UTC time the board is in.

Re: FPL App and OBi200 ATA seem in conflict
Question is : can I have OBI200 work simultaneously and seemlessly with a softphone app (FPL app or other) and if so how? Another route you can go if you really want to use the FPL app (or Fongo App for that matter) is to create a new account and put that on the app. On your original account go to ...

Re: Do I need to pay for a dry loop ?
Looking on http://www.ody.ca/ it looks like there is a 10$/month charge for a dry loop, unless you live in Downtown London. It's been a while since I was with Bell, but from what I remember you didn't need a dry loop if you have a phone line through them, no matter who your DSL was with (which is es...

It's usually best to leave this sort of thing. Others might come with the same problem and if enough people mention it they might start taking notice.
Sorry it didn't work out for you though, but it seems like you might have found a solution anyway.

Re: Beeping instead of tone
Do you have the messages forwarded or copied? If they are forwarded then the MWI should never be triggered.
I'm wondering if there is a technical reason inside your ATA that is causing this. It certainly should clear within the day.
