Re: Port out number with VoIP Unlock Key
I doubt it, I do not think you even have an account anymore. You would have to purchase a new key.

Re: Love this!
I got Worldline when it was beta. 5GB for $20, 5Gb extra for $5. It is now priced like Fongo. I suppose Rogers has a lot to do with the pricing.

I have had problems with doze mode on other versions. See what happens when you disable doze mode for Fongo.

Je m'excuse de devoir utiliser Google Translate pour vous donner une réponse. Le service de réponse téléphonique de Fongo n'a jamais bien fonctionné. Re: Low bandwidth codec for FPL?
There was a g.729 option for freephoneline on the SIP settings. Honestly, that DSL is horrid for VOIP, a lower bandwidth codec will not likely help. It does not compare to the DSL you get from a fibe connection.

Re: FPL Android app?
As you discovered, Fongo and Freephoneline are 2 separate companies, with separate accounts. If you purchased SIP settings, you can use an Android SIP client like Zoiper to use Freephoneline's SIP settings on your Android device. If you want to move to Fongo and keep your Freephoneline number, you c...

Probably a coincidence. You would have to program the Panasonic to do the ringtone you were happy with again.

Re: How to Connect a Real Corded Phone to freephoneline.ca
The $80 SIP settings are a one time fee. Once you pay that, you have free phone service, with no other fees. If you do not want to pay for SIP settings, or use an ATA device, you could install the freephoneline software client on your laptop, and connect one these to your laptop USB port. https://ww...

Re: How to Connect a Real Corded Phone to freephoneline.ca
You would need to buy SIP settings from freephoneline.ca That would cost you $80 I believe. You would also have to buy a SIP ATA device. Obihai makes one of the better SIP ATA devices out there.

You will need to contact Fongo support https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us They can delete your old account, if you want to use the old email address You need to select a Canadian number from Fongo to activate the account. You can port over your Canadian phone number over to Fongo later. Fongo charge...

Re: Newbie Questions-Mexico
The Fongo app has needs an internet connection to work, either from data or wifi. I am not sure if you can forward calls to your Mexico number, but if you can, I believe it will cost you 3 cents a minute, there is also a 4 cent connection fee. As long as the Fongo app has a decent internet connectio...

Re: Worldline 5GB of data for $20
I got it activated today. Seems to work fine so far in Halifax. I want to test it out to see if the SIM does extended coverage on Bell/Telus towers tomorrow. I doubt it will work, because it is not advertised. I do not seem to need to install a Worldline client, which is nice. I am using my existing...

the free messaging feature is quite amazing my kids love to use these services to contact us. It is funny how one never appreciates what is free! I personally held my nose on Fongo's texting because it does not do proper multimedia messaging with other carrier's phones. But if everyone you know use...

I would assume with a credit card. That is how I bought the SIM card. There might be other options, but then again, it is a beta program, so expectations on much polish should be low, at this time!hanke wrote:I signed up as well, today awaiting confirmation. How do you make payment for the monthly service?

No. Fongo and Virgin provide 2 separate services. If you need a mobile phone service with cellular voice and data, Virgin can do that. If you need an app that can make and receive phone calls, using an internet connection, be it data or wifi, Fongo can do that. You could forward your Fongo number to...

Worldline 5GB of data for $20
It appears Fibernetics (parent company of Fongo) is sticking their toes out in the wireless market! I have not gotten any more info than what is on the web page, but this is another option. I hear this uses the Rogers network, and the beta is only for southern Ontario for now. https://www.worldline....
