Re: 5ut1, port my cell from koodo to chatr, can't dial from

Hi, I just ported my phone # 416-xxx-xxxx from koodo to chatr, I can not dial my cell from my free phone line anymore, it was good before, got recorded message "5UT1, you have reached a number that is not equipped for incoming calls, please check the number and try again." some time it sa...

Re: Please Help !!!!

Thanks Jake and the Hardy I'll try to talk with Chat-R to see if they can sort this out for me. But there are a couple things i want to clarify: + The Dell Voice app is installed on my Tablet Not my cell phone. + I live in downtown Vancouver, which by no mean is that close to the border. ( Keep in ...

Re: Is FPL desktop application discontinued?

I'd suggesting running an adware/spyware scan. The screenshot you posted seems to have a whole bunch of advertising links showing on the text on our website - we do not actually have that type of advertising on our site, or any advertising that uses pop-up boxes on mouseovers like that. It's possib...

Go to the FPL website, log in to your account, settings, then downloads ... that is where it is located.

Re: Can't Receive Calls From Petrolia

Our first 6 digits are 519-397-XXXX. We did port our number over to Freephoneline. The callers that cannot reach us are from Petroilia and are both Cogeco customer. Will double check again what message the callers are getting when they try to call us. As a ported number it should not be too much of...

Re: Landline to VOIP transition

HI Mike, I'm having trouble getting FPL set up. Do I contact FPL/Fongo support or the ATA maker (ObiHai)? You will find that Fongo/FPL no longer provides official tech support for ATA's _NOT_ purchased from them (relatively new policy). However, there are forum members here that may be able to assi...

Re: SPA2102 Unable to make calls

This sort of thing has come up a few times before. It could either be a dial string issue OR you have got an & in your caller ID name (eg Jane & Bill) For some reason the ATAs don't like special characters in the Caller ID Name, so if you have an & or something else, try it without it. ...

Re: Can't Receive Calls From Petrolia

I should state that Fongo does not block incoming calls from any particular carrier. I can verify that I have received INTERNATIONAL calls on my FPL softphone from Europe and other locations throughout North America without problem, except as indicated when my 778-300-x number was a "new" ...

Re: Can't Receive Calls From Petrolia

If the calls are completing (going to voicemail) then the call is being transported correctly. If the calls were to fail and receive a recorded announcement that they cannot be completed, that is a different matter. Are you sure that the callers were indeed getting VOICEMAIL and not a recording stat...

Re: Quebec expansion!

Fibernetics is expanding it's coverage (NOT FONGO --- yet...) to 13 additional ratecentres in NPA579 (which is an overlay of NPA450) and 2 additional ratecentres in NPA873 (overlay of NPA819). From my quick research, this will result in NO net increase in potential free calling area for Fongo custom...

Re: Port 13000 issue

I think that he was trying to say that under the same router config, that when he dumps his iPhone onto the network, he has no problems connecting correctly, whereas the PC application barfs. That is if I read correctly. Therefore, if the router has had the ports opened/fwd'd, Windows Firewall is di...

Quebec expansion!

Doing my routine browsing of various sources, I notice that Fibernetics is currently expanding it's footprint in Quebec (NPA 579 & 873). Those of you who know how to look this up can do so. Of course, that is only FIBERNETICS, not Fongo, but I would assume (oooh, dangerous!) that a Fongo announc...

Re: Trouble calling long distance to the US

Again, I think this is a Fongo network issue rather than an issue on our home network. Is there a way to investigate further? Is there a post on here somewhere which explains how to submit the call logs? Thanks! I would concur that it needs following up. Again, the course of action to do this is to...

I would submit the call logs to Fongo_Steve/Fongo_Mike for them to look into and see what the routing of the call is on the network level.

Re: Port OUT policy?

Depending on which carrier you port TO, they may require documentation that you "own" or control the number -- as there is no BILL per se from Fongo, this can be difficult, depending on the carrier. As an example, it is currently very difficult if not downright impossible to port out from ...

Re: iNum +883 Country Code Calling - Support Request

Whether or not people know about iNUM is not the issue ... and to that end, if more providers start supporting iNUM, then there is a higher likelihood that word will spread and that more and more people will become familiar with it I think at this time FPL or Fongo just need to expand more free call...

Re: Disappointed with customer service - porting

There are other DID providers that you can get numbers from, other than Fongo, but none are free. You could always get one from one of the other providers and pay the low per minute charges ... (at least for inbound calls). You can use Fongo for outbound, but then the people you are calling may be c...

Spelling mistakes still exist throughout the site, and the ones above have not been corrected ... yet. I know it is low priority, but it honestly does make the product seem "off-shore" or cut-rate to see such glaring errors in spelling!

That is correvct Hardy, as it is specific to DV (That's why it is not mentioned on the freephoneline web site. Yes, but it is all over the FONGO site, and THERE it did not say anything about being specific to DV! There are times when if you did not know that FPL existed, one would think that Fongo=...
