I am not sure if Fongo Wireless even has a phone number. I know when I had the service, it didn't. You really do not need a phone number if all you are doing is slinging data. You can use Fongo Mobile app with it's phone number for your calls and texting.

On most ports, you usually do not lose service for any more than a half hour. Any other time, either the old device, or eventually Fongo will be able to receive call. But yeah, you are not going to get an exact time line on when it will happen. That is the nature of porting, unfortunately.

Fongo is not going to do anything to stop you from using their service in Asia. If you are going to use a VPN, you better make sure it can handle VOIP calls, some cannot. You need a Canadian address for 911. You will need Canadian phone numbers to set up Fongo Works. Nothing in the terms and conditions stopping you from using Fongo Works in Europe though.
