Re: Service down?
That's a curious problem. I don't use the softphone so perhaps some other member will have some suggestions. If you've changed or reconfigured your router recently, it might be worthwhile taking a look at that - in particular, disabling its SIP ALG if it has one.

Re: Service down?
If your ATA is bad, then It's entirely possible that it is the source of your problems. If you wait one hour with your ATA disconnected and the desktop application closed (so that the registrations expire) are callers able to reach your voicemail? Out of curiosity, when you tried to factory reset yo...

I just tested all servers, and all are responding to registration and outgoing calls. From the FreePhoneLine.ca website, navigate to Follow Me Settings and set Status to Disable. I'm very glad to hear you got it working!
Hopefully this solves the problem permanently. If it returns, we can investigate further.

No I did not. (I don't work for FPL.) If you changed the settings I suggested, it is likely one of them solved the problem. In any case I'm glad it's working.

Re: Got our # back, but now incoming calls don't work
when I try calling the FPL number, it either tells me it's an invalid number (when calling from skype) or that the phone call did not go through (when calling from the landline). Shut down the desktop application, and test. If that does not work, wait one hour, and retest. If it still does not work...

Re: can't hear other side voice when make call or receive ca
Likely your issue is different from Natalie's. If you are experiencing the one-way audio issue that affects some customers on voip, voip2, and voip4, but not voip3, it will appear on every call and will not be sporadic.mh1983 wrote:Had a similar issue though only temporarily and for a few calls.

Re: HT701 firmware 1.0.6.1
Thanks for letting us know this unfortunate problem is still occurring. I wish voip, voip2, and voip4 worked properly as voip3 does.
Out of curiosity, may I ask when you signed up for your FPL account / unlock key?

Not necessarily - if you have two routers, one for each purpose.jumbo wrote:Using a VPN router will make all my traffic go through the VPN, not only the SIP/VoIP traffic.

As Fongo Support said, you may buy an adapter from Amazon (or the retailer of your choice) and configure it with your settings. If you have any problems, let us know and we will try to help.

Re: Existing customer, want to buy VoIP adapter
FreePhoneLine does not sell adapters for use with their service. Fongo does. If you wish to sign up for Fongo, visit https://www.fongo.com/home-phone/register/ .
Is there a reason why you want to discontinue your FreePhoneLine service? If you have a problem, perhaps we could help you solve it.

Re: Voice cutting/line issue
For those of you having audio quality issues, please try a ping test to your VoIP server. From a Windows command prompt, the command is: ping voip.freephoneline.ca -t Let the ping run for some time, perhaps 30 minutes, then press CTRL+C to end it. Note the number of packets lost. If this is 1% or gr...

Re: Phone Number Port Over Fee
Did the port complete successfully? If so, an anti-competitive dispute will not help, as that is only good if CIK rejects the port. If CIK has automatically charged your credit card, you can attempt to dispute the charge with your credit card company, but be prepared for retaliation from CIK - such ...
