Re: Can't dial Freephoneline Help No.

Hm, the number seems to work just fine for me (just called it to see). Wait a little and try again maybe? If not, we've got an email form on the website that you can email us through.

Re: FreePhoneLine for Vista???

I've tested and confirmed all features work in Vista x86 and Vista x64. I've never experience the settings menu not working like shahram_zm mentions.. might be a faulty installation?
If all the ports are forwarded correctly on your router then you will have 100% perfect functionality.

Re: Voicemail Emails

99% of VOIP providers will stay away from .mp3 based voicemail because of the compression. We usually see Wav used because wav is a raw format with no compression. The minute voicemail needs to be made into .mp3 it has to be run through a compression CODEC to change it from it's raw form into an mp3...

Re: Can I port phone# from another VoIP Provider (i.e. vbuzzer)?

Yep, you can port to us from practically any service, vBuzzer included.
However, since vBuzzer does not use a paper bill, we will require screenshots of your last invoice from your online control panel on the vBuzzer website.

Let me check what's up for you when he gets here.. he's usually pretty snappy at responding to all our emails unless it got filtered as junk mail by mistake and he never saw it.

Re: It is possible to transfer my current number to Freephone ?

I am interested of doing the same thing, I am with Fido in Montréal right now, I'm going to call them to ask for the transfer paper, could you tell me the contact info to email/fax you? This service is incredible, I just have to say it takes 4-5secs after the communication starts to be able to hear...

Re: I need two phone lines..

Yep, you can use any ATA box with our service. You simply have to buy a $50 config file for us to activate the ATA SIP settings for you. By default, the free service covers only our PC Softphone software. So you only pay $50 per account for that file and you never pay again for your phone lines. Goo...

Re: Helpful tips for proper configuration

Voice being chopped up is frequently the result of internet speed. The recommended minimum internet speed is 1Mbps+. If you have something less than this, you may have issues. Also, if you are using much of your bandwidth, make sure that you allocate (or don't use) 1Mbps+ to your VoIP. If you have ...

Re: software installation problem

Any special software notes that we should know of? Ie. are you running any sort of window modifier, skinning application, or anything that may alter the way a window is rendered? I've tested the app on Vista x86 and x64 at home and it worked. We just stuck it on a few computers in the office here to...
