voice mail light keep flashing.. but no voice mail

I use Fongo voice mail service. It was good before. But recently the voice mail indication light of all my phones keep flashing for few days. But when I check it with *98, there is no voice mail. I login to my account and no voice mail too. Is there a way to cancel the voice mail indication light? Thanks.

Your ATA probably just missed the code sent from FPL that you no longer have any VM's

If you have a PAP2 you can do the following:
Log into you PAP2 as Administrator, not User
Click User1 (or 2 if your using user line 2)
Scroll down to "Supplementary Service Settings"
change the "message waiting" option from Yes to NO
save settings

that should clear your VM issues.

Nope. Next time you get a voice mail it will revert back to the yes setting by itself and should then change to the no setting once you delete your vm.

It did not revert the setting to "yes" when I got a VM. I knew I have a VM just because I have got an email notification. But when I change it back to "yes", it keeps flashing again even I have removed the vm. Please help.

im amusing you knew you had a VM fairly quickly after one was left... Fongo/FPL/DV dont send VM notifications instantly as soon as someone leaves a message. They poll all the accounts every XX minutes.
A way to test it is leave yourself a message (via an alternate phone number), come back in a hour and you should see theres a VM message waiting for you.

*Edit* email messages saying theres a message may be instantly. I dont use this feature.

I have tried many times. The "message waiting" never reset by itself to "yes".

I have the same problem with my PAP2. It was working fine for the longest time and then 3-4 days ago it started doing the same thing as described above.

I'm having a similar problem. Takes hours to notice/poll for new voicemail. And other times it takes 3-4 days after its deleted and I have to manually clear the MWI.

Is there any planned fixes for this coming?

Several weeks ago I had a problem with the Voice Mail Indicator Flashing and the Stutter Tone Present on my line. I had cleared all msgs and the tone and light remained. The next day the light and tone was cleared. I had sent a complaint in to Customer Service and they replied several days later indicating that they were aware of the problem and working on it.

Since then I have not rec'd any more Indications of Voice Mail or the Stutter Tone when in fact there are msgs because I get the email notifications of Voice Mail.

My question is did Tech Support disable my Voice Mail Indications or is it just a current flaw in the Voice Mail system that is trying to be corrected?

Things were working quite nicely several months ago but it seems the Voicemail Issue has become a common post in the forums of not working properly.
