Anyone Getting " Stutter Dial Tone Voicemail Notification "

Post by hanke »

I use to get, several months ago the "Stutter Dial Tone" whenever a Voicemail message was left on my line. I have not had this since then! I realize that the " Message Waiting Indication Light " has its problems with the delayed sending to customer lines. Currently I don't even get the Message Waiting Indication either but am told that they are currently and constantly working on it to get it corrected.

So my question - Is anyone receiving the Stutter Dial Tone whenever someone leaves a voice mail message?

The only way I know I have a voicemail is via the Email notification that I have currently setup, but this can be somewhat not useful if you don't have your computer on to get your emails.

Thanks
hanke

Well guess no one is getting the " Stutter Dial Tone Notification " whenever you get a voice mail message. Like I said in my previous post, I was getting it but no longer, so by the sounds of it no one else is getting it either.

I believe I have sorted out the Stutter Dial Tone Notification. I use an SPA3102 ATA and discovered on my Voice Line Tab - User 1 Settings - Supplementary Service Settings - Message Waiting setting was set to - No. I set that to Yes and shortly there after I got the Stutter Tone Notification of Waiting Voicemail as well as my Voicemail Indication Light turned on. on my handset.

I cleared my Voicemails, and now this is the wait to see how long the Stutter Dial tone will take to clear which on the line which could be from several hours or whatever.

So, have cleared the issue up myself.

Sorry I couldn't help you Hanke, I don't use their voicemail system. The notifications are far to slow and would really annoy me.

Glad you (may have) found a fix. I think personally I would rather there wasn't a tone. How you ever know where you are when it takes so long to set and clear itself I don't know. You may find yourself turning it back off again :)

There is no fix. Voice Mail notification is broken for freephoneline home phone users.

All hanke did was just force the stutter tone on.

Need to wait for a fix.

Just a follow-up to this thread that a new MWI platform was rolled out earlier today and should address the concerns with the severe delay on MWI in the past.

System wide, all brands, all platforms? Or limited deployment?

ATAs and default softphones, or? Sorry to ask so many questions, but there are lots of brands and platforms in play now!!
