Poor Fongo voice quality

Post by lisi891 »

When I talked to my friends, I could hear them well, but they complained that only 70% of conversation was heard due to poor voice quality.

I used ipad to test wireless speed of Rogers internet.
Download: 20M/s
Upload 3M/s.
Cell: Samsung Galaxy S4

I have no idea how to improve the voice quality. BTW, it seems Google hangouts, FPL ATA work better in my home.

I appreciate suggestions.

hi,

I would first do this.

1. Confirm that you are running latest version of Fongo app

2. Check the FAQ below:

Thanks,

Thank for reply.

The FAQ talks about "Unable To Receive Incoming Calls", but I am able to receive and make phone calls.

The only issue is voice quality.

Hi there,

Please check that FAQ very carefully. Here is one sample from that FAQ

Bad WiFi Radio Drivers (Android)
We have been made aware that some Android devices do not wake up on incoming signals on their wifi connections. We have implemented a work around in the App for these android devices that prevents the WiFi radio from falling asleep. Enabling this setting will use more battery but will make incoming calls come in more reliably.

Preform the following in Fongo to enable 'Wifi Lock'

Select The Menu Button
Select Account
Select Settings
Enable The 'Use WiFi Lock' setting
