Okay - I would like to sign up for this service, and I need a new phone number. However, after this I would like to keep this number. If for any reason something happens to freephoneline, or the service does not function with a reasonable quality, etc... and I should seek service elsewhere, is the number transferable away from freephoneline?
Thanks to anybody that might know the answer to this.
Also - does anyone know if the softphone application can be installed on a portable device like a USB stick?
Thanks!

Re: Can I take my number with me
1. The answer is no, since you don't pay any subscription fee's or anything like Bell, Rogers etc... you may not pull the number out of our DID database.
2. We are coding this right now

Re: Can I take my number with me
That's a shame... #1 is a deal breaker for me. Even if this was available with an additional sign-up fee I would have been okay with it. Perhaps something to consider.
Thanks for the prompt response though and I'll keep this in mind for another requirement should the need materialize.

Re: Can I take my number with me
If I will do a portability of one of my numbers to a freephoneline, can I do the a portability to a different provider of this number or I am loosing that number?

If you port a number into freephoneline.ca and you want to port that number out you may do so, yes.
