Porting Out
Porting Out
I have a freephoneline account and would like to port its number to Mobilicity. The account is using the app only and I have not bought the SIP settings for the number. Am I allowed to port out the number? Has this been done before?

seagame2001 is completely right.
I remember that question being asked somewhere on this forum a long time ago and an admin to respond that an FPL number could be ported out but only if the config file was bought.

Re: Porting Out
As per CRTC regulations, if you should decide to port your number to another provider, FPL would certainly allow it to be taken.

Re: Porting Out
Yes, even if you have not purchased the VoIP unlock key, you can still port out the number.

Porting Out - No UNLOCK KEY - how to?
Mike: not that I am in a mood or position to want to port OUT from FPL/Fongo, but, I am curious, as there is NO INVOICE or anything for a FREE (non-unlocked) account, how would one go about PROVING ownership to initiate a port-out???FONGO_mike wrote:Yes, even if you have not purchased the VoIP unlock key, you can still port out the number.
I am sure that someone has done this, and am just curious as to what documentation/proof FPL/Fongo would provide for the #/acct?

Re: Porting Out
The information can be puled by logging into your account on the web site. (Name, address, phone number, etc, etc)
It is up to the company that the number would be ported to too decide what information is required.
