hosts file pops up at soft phone startup
I have two network cards running on my computer. One is a wireless adapter for internet access and the other goes to another router for my other network devices. When I start up the soft phone, a hosts file dialog box appears and I must choose which adapter is connected to the internet. Is there a configuration file or registry entry somewhere where I can set this automatically?

Not that I know of. One of the fun features you get out of java, you cannot pick an audio device, but you get to pick a network card, something simple as having the program pick the network card with the internet is too complicated.
The SIP setting are much better if only never to have to deal with such a train wreck of a program.

Yes, I must remember to chose my sound card from the control panel before loading the soft phone as well, and then switch it back after the soft phone loads for my other audio needs.
If there are any other comments or ideas, I would love to hear them.

Re: hosts file pops up at soft phone startup
I did, once upon a time, find in the user data area of windows a free phone line softphone config file. Admittedly I found this before I had my SIP Config file and was checking if the encoded version of the password found in the config file would work with a softphone like Zoiper or SJPhone on a service-locked account. (It did not hehe.)
But this is how we learn.
So it may be that there's something in this config file, I don't recall the name or extension, but it can be read with a basic text editor such as notepad or notepad++.
