I'm calling using the FreePhoneLine program, and the other side hears himself in a constant echo/feedback loop. He hears himself talking over and over, but I'm using a headset. I lowered the microphone volume until he said he could barely hear me, and lowered the earphone output till i could barely hear him, but he still heard himself looping over and over, so I believe it is coming from something other than the headset. Is this a known bug, or am I doing something wrong?
Also, would there be a way of muting my broadcasting of my voice from my mic to my headphones when I talk? Other than globally unmuting my mic by the computer's sound option panel, could there be a hotkey similar to "ventrilo" or similar online voice comm services use to enable the microphone during speech? Or is there a way the program itself could enable the microphone only for itself, without broadcasting to the earphones or speaker.
