Change registered Cell phone #

I was registered my cell phone with the Budphone 2 stage mobile service so that I can use my Smart phone Blackberry 8330 to make free LD call within FPL free calling areas.

In a recent login to my Budphone account on buphone.ca, I found that there is a new tab "SMART PHONE APPLICATION SETTINGS" for us.

Clicked on it and wonderfull that we can change the setting of registered cell phone information. I haven't try that as I purchased LD voucher and I am afraid changing the cell phone number will disqualify my voucher.

Hope FPL/Budphone will answer the questions below:

Questions:

1. Can the user under the same e-mail registration account change the registered cell phone number, OS, Smart phone model over time after the initial registration?
2. Will the balance of LD voucher purchased carry over to the new cell phone number registered at latest in to the same e-mail account?
3. Do we need to re-install the Budphone on the Smart phone every time we change the "SMART PHONE APPLICATION SETTINGS"?

If the above works, it is a great improvement and make our 2 stage mobile application portable from one smart phone to the other as well as changing cell phone number after hopping between different mobile carriers.

Whoops! Sorry we missed this one.

1) Yes, you can change your number/phone/OS anytime after registration
2) Yep, the balance will carry over. The voucher is linked to the unique mobile account in our system, not specifically to the phone number.
3) Nope, you shouldn't need to reinstall the app after you change any settings on our website, the settings on the mobile settings page don't actually interact with the app itself, just with your account functionality.

Steve, thank you.

That's really help. Now I am feeling more comfortable to change the registered cell phone number in my Budphone account if necessary as I am sure now the voucher credits will be carried over to the newly registered cell phone number.

As per you said the voucher credit is tied to the mobile account but not the registered cell phone number.

I was just a bit concern that the voucher credits sharing which is not possible between 'budphone mobile' and 'desktop' accounts will be happened in changing the registered cell phone numbers within the same mobile account.

Now I have it clear from FPL.
