Same e-mail to register FPL and budphone?

Have a great idea? We'd love to hear it!

Same e-mail to register FPL and budphone?

Postby tigerking » 01/18/2011

Can we use the same e-mail account to register on both FPL and Budphone web site for two different telephone numbers?

I noticed that we can also register a landline number with the Budphone account login that was created for the 2 stage mobile services.

Is it possible to use the same e-mail address register with landline number on Budphone web page as well as another landline number at FPL?

Or we have to use unique e-mail address for each registration.

As they are bearing different passwords and stored in different user account database I assume, it will not create credential verification problem I assume.

I'm just curious where you're finding the ability to register a landline? Each number must be confirmed/activated when an SMS is sent to it, and since a landline can't receive an SMS, you'd never be able to activate said number.

You can also use the same email between Budphone.ca and freephoneline.ca, as both are completely different services.

Steve,

Sorry landline in my term is a fix line phone number assigned from FPL to use the desktop Budphone software and not a landline from other carriers to use the 2 stage mobile service.

It is in the Budphone web page, after login, you can choose from the left and right side. The left side for 2 stage mobile service using smart phone of course.

the right side is the normal desktop budphone that you can download, before the download, you may have to complete the registration in Budphone web page or do it at the time you run the budphone.

That is why I asked the above question, as it seems that Budphone allow registration for both under the same user login (same e-mail ID)!

I tried download the budphone and start the program but I cannot login using my FPL registered ID and password.

Of course I don't necessary to register another FPL as I have already have one, but just want to see the GUI, feature differences of this Budphone from what I have downloaded from FPL web site.

Oh okay, I understand what you're saying now!

Yep, the budphone.ca does use a shared login process (ie. one set of credentials gets you access to both mobile and/or desktop services from one account).

Unfortunately you can't use freephoneline credentials to log into Bud services though, or vise-versa. This is done to keep the two products separate, as even though we run the service behind both, both are affiliated with different companies.

You can register one email address at budphone.ca and also again on freephoneline.ca - the two separate services don't cross-check logins with each other.
