Text messaging field needs to change height

I use the Android app exclusivity to text people, I'm asking for you guys to please work on the messaging UI, it's also I would guess a primary source of income for the app.

My only annoyance with the messaging UI is the text field stays the exact same height making it super difficult to review and edit any errors in longer texts.
Here's an example of what I mean:

All other messaging apps change the text field height to make it easier to edit and read what you write.
Please do the same.

If you have time, please do away with all rounded corners in the messaging UI.

I was a bit surprised when I read this post, because this was one of the first things I asked for when the app first came out. It was also one of the first things they fixed. As you can see from my attachment that my HTC Desire HD does expand it's text box. I looked on my iPod also and it does the same.

Your images do seem as though the text box is expanding, but maybe not enough. I get 3 lines of text before it starts to scroll up. Maybe I just got lucky, but does it look like a font size issue to you? You are missing part of a line, so maybe your text is too big. I have no clue where or if you can change that, but I would suggest it is phone specific.

Awesome, it seems they might have implemented it in v3.0.8 because I swear it didn't expand just yesterday.
I wished they put it in the What's new..
Now just clean up the messaging UI like they did the rest of the app and it's golden!
