Hi,
Would it be possible to have a paid version of the iPhone app, or have an in-app purchase to remove the ads?
I understand Dell Voice is ad-driven, but I would totally pay $5, $10 or even $20 to unlock an ad-free version of Dell Voice. I know plenty of people who feel the same way about other ad-driven apps, too. I'm sure you can find the right price point to cover the cost of removing the ads from the app. What do you think?
Curious to see what kind of feedback other forum members can leave to help sway your decision towards something like this

If you buy the VoIP Unlock Key for a one-time $50 charge then you have the credentials needed to use your line in any third party softphone or hardware ATA device. For long term users this would be a bigger savings than paying $x per year or month for a longer period

Interesting considering that the whole point of Dell sponsoring DV would seem to be to promote their productsmetr wrote:Would it be possible to have a paid version of the iPhone app, or have an in-app purchase to remove the ads?
FWIW I simply ignore the ads in the DV app. Although I buy lots of stuff from Dell, I'd never consider buying stuff, especially something like a PC that needs many screens to configure, etc. from them or from anyone else, using the puny screen on my smartphone. Might make more sense on a tablet though.
P.S. Why "a paid version of the iPhone app" only? Don't other smartphone users deserve the same option?

Dell Voice is attractive to new customers because it is so simple to sign up and use, no setup required. I think it would be easier for the type of customers who just want to use your app to give you money instead of buying an unlock key and figuring out what to do with it. It could be profitable if the paid version costs more than the average user would produce from ads.FONGO_steve wrote:If you buy the VoIP Unlock Key for a one-time $50 charge then you have the credentials needed to use your line in any third party softphone or hardware ATA device. I didn't intend the suggestion to be for just the iPhone, I just happen to be an iPhone user and that's what was on my mind. I would assume, if the paid app idea was well taken, that it would apply to android as well or any other mobile platform in the future.bylo wrote:P.S. Why "a paid version of the iPhone app" only?
