Can you *PLEASE* fix this?
Can you *PLEASE* fix this?
This is what your app looks like on my samsung galaxy note:
It's been this way for months. Please fix?

Re: Can you *PLEASE* fix this?
It seems that Dell Voice is crippled on Android devices. My Samsung Galaxy 551 is running Android 2.2, and Dell Voice looks like a squashed mess.

Evil,
That is most likely related to the resolution level on the device. I see you have the entire app displayed on your screen.
With the latest update, v2.3 is the minimum Android Os required.

Re: Can you *PLEASE* fix this?
Fongo_mike...
is that really an excuse? i have like 200 apps and games on my phone. ive tried hundreds more. you know how many have had scaling problems like fongo?
only one, fongo itself. every app i run and have tried scales perfectly fine on my 800x1280 pixel device.
the problem is not my phone, it is the app. its poorly programmed. this is android basics here, one app to work on all resolutions.

You are using the note correct? the resolution on your screen may be to high. The Dell Voice was not built ot adjust for that. Many tablets also display the app the same way. Has the app been working properly? (functionality)

All due respect, Mike, but hearing complaints about poor coding is becoming commonplace lately with things beginning to break in Fongo apps.
The default behaviour is then to blame everyone else while not fixing or acknowledging the problem.
The pattern for this has been established dating back to the FPL app 3.0.3.0 (and before that even), in regards to the CID problem, and is best typified by the DV PC-app java-issues.
Honestly, this "blame everyone else, our stuff is great" approach is bush-league and amateurish ...
I have drank the Kool-Aide but am still getting more and more disappointed with Fongo on a daily basis; I find it hard to be an advocate when there is the lack of taking responsibility and actually fixing these KNOWN issues.

Re: Can you *PLEASE* fix this?
All the more reason to seriously invest in the development of a bug reporting system, instead of cutting short with the "quick in-and-out" mentality of a laughable PHPBB user forum. All of this, but instead; absolutely the first priority in the early stages of any software development project . . . How long has DV been "in development", by the way?
Are you looking at the big picture here, Fongo? Do you want long term, Fongo? If you are looking to make quick cash and duck out, just say so. Or at least play dumb, and try to act long term with your end-users. . . To me, attracting long term end-users will never be made a reality by forcing busy, everyday people like me in into writing a book on your forum just so that I know my phone simply functions properly, and that I can be "on-call", just like every other Canadian I know (non-mobile VOIP users, mind you, they pay thou$and$ per fiscal year for service, as we all should know).
Fongo needs to listen up fast . . . Else be buried in the cemetery of the dead software projects. You're making all the right (wrong?) mistakes . . . Fongo needs to budget more on coding than they are budgeting on graphic designers; contact list integration means more to me (the every day user) than social media integration because my phone book is one of the most important things in my life, and I keep it backed and synced up on my hard disk weekly; Facebook could go under tomorrow, never trusted Zuckerberg from day one. Did I ever give him a dime? No. Did all of my friends and family give him plenty of equity through potential off-shore server hosting deals that we don't know about? No- well, maybe not. But it's not out of the question!
Fongo: Should I trust you with a phone number that I want to keep for life? The answer is: NOT YET. Which is why I have not purchased your "SIP" package, nor set up all my friends and family on your service, if you were wondering.
I truly stand by all of my statements, and could go on and on with more suggestions and feedback, leaving the "R&D team" (?) pissed off (?) at me for "not following the chain of command" when at the end of the day, all I'm trying to do is drop hints to make this company succeed, turn a profit, and help out end users simultaneously. . . . by the way, just wondering, for kicks; does Fongo pay you, Mike? . . .As an "L3 Support Specialist"? Never heard anyone with that title before. . .
Do I hear cries of mutiny in the mod-only section (well, now officially in the "Suggestions and Feedback".. thanks for that one, Hardy, I needed it to actually work up the energy and motivation to write this post. Seriously though, c'mon, "beginning to break"!? These apps were DOA, buddy. No denying that); as well as sounds of eyelids opening?
Surely, I'm not the only one catching onto these things...that would make me a blind man if I was wrong, no? Possibly. . . I'm the only person registered on this forum educated enough, combined with having enough time on my hands at this very moment, to realize and voice my opinion these sort of things? I definitely hope you do, Mr. President of Fibernetics (; that is- if you want to be taken seriously, while taking in the big bucks. I recommend you print this post, well let's not be greedy: actually make it this whole topic, no make it this entire forum. Print off every day page, and read it aloud line for line at your next board meeting, without a single break; I dare you.
PS, should this post, or any of my posts ever be edited, deleted, or shall I ever get banned due to my opinion; The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms has been officially been voided by Fongo, and thus I will boycott the company until the day I die.
PPS. You know what I really, truly wanna suggest to all you reading this? Dell Voice work over an SSL connection, and be able to route through Tor properly. (Orbot for rooted Droids, which everyone should have; Mobile Tor by w00t for jailbroken iPhone users, which everyone should have). This helps majorly with Dell Voice expanding onto public Wifi networks that would normally do things like block ports, etc. Although not a *cough* Tunnel service (which I shouldn't go into due to earlier flame threads), it still sometimes "punches through the holes" like Skype is able to, WITHOUT depending on something like Skype's flawed infrastructure, which is known to be completely broken anyway.

Going to lock this thread as it's severely degraded from the original subject.
To the OP, please continue to watch for updates in the future as we add more support for large format devices and tablets.
