A couple of issues in 1.4.1 to fix

Postby ylubme » 09/28/2012

Just updated the app to v1.4.1 and the component layout is worse than 1.4.0
I'm running android 4.0 on galaxy tab ii 7.0 inch and the layout is so messed up.
1. (scaling is horrible)the bottom row of buttons (world credit, call and backspace) is completely chopped out of screen, which means I can key in numbers but cannot dial out. I have to first store the number in my contact and then call from the contact view

2. side effect of 1, when I hit the left half of button 3, 6 or 9, number 2, 5 or 8 is entered.

3. It would be nice to have a mute/unmute button as I used this app to attend tele-conference

4. I observe this issue since a couple of releases before. When I hang off, the app crashes.

This 1.4.1 version makes dell voice unusable on my device

Hi ylubme I have a request specific to point 4, when the app crashes can you submit that crash report to the Google Play store. Our development team will receive that crash report and be able to investigate further.

I wasn't able to reproduce the crash after re-installing it... However, the keypad layout bug makes the app unusable. This version is more or less an alpha version given so many glitches...It seems untested...
I would appreciate if a new version will be available soon.

We have just released Dell Voice 1.4.2 to fix these screen layout issues on some tablets. Thanks for flagging this issue for us.

This new version does not fully stretch to the edge of my 7-inch screen. However, all buttons works fine and I made several calls without crashing. Thanks for the fix.

It may not be fully stretched on all tablets. As listed, it is a general fix and fixed the issue on a number of tablets.

As ylubme said, doesn't fill the screen but fixes the missing button issue on my tablet

As a matter of fact, I prefer the smaller layout, it's kind of ackward dialing when the buttons are so big!

Thanks for the relatively quick fix

At least they seem to be supporting the mobile applications a lot more than they do the PC-based applications ... so that is a step in the right direction. Maybe the PC-softphones are just legacy apps now that they seem to have moved on?
