I've been using a Cisco 7960 with my Fongo SIP account for several months with mixed results. I primarily use it for outbound calls which work without a problem.
After a fresh device reset I can send and receive calls no problem, but after some period of time (not sure if this is minutes, hours or days) I stop being able to receive calls. Inbound calls go straight to voicemail, but I check on the site and it still says that my device status is 'connected'.
If I reset the phone again inbound calls start working
Is anyone using a similar configuration with success? Does anyone have any ideas?
I can provide specific config info when I'm at home this evening.
Thanks!

Re: Cisco 7960 inbound calls
Sorry - I realized I posted in the wrong thread. Should be in freephoneline section.
I think I have resolved my issue. I changed the 'Register Expires' setting from 3600 to 100 and I believe the problem is resolved.
Hope that helps someone else down the road!

You actually going to create a bigger issue as now your setup is not as per FPL guidelines:
http://support.freephoneline.ca/entries ... redentials
Please re adjust the setting- the issue is with other settings.
Thanks,
Re: Cisco 7960 inbound calls
You are not able to receive calls probably because the registration is failing.
I got it to work after changing the proxy from voip.freephoneline.ca to voip2.freephoneline.ca. I think it is because the registration will fail after too many attempts (go to the status messages in the menus to find the reason why the REG will fail). If you register with the other server, it will let you on. I presume after some time (probably>1hr), if you set it back to the original server voip.freephoneline.ca it will work again.
Once the registration is successful, you will be able to receive calls. At least that is my experience.
I also had these params in my .cnf file along with the usual
line1_authname: "xxxxx"
line1_password: "password"
etc.
#NAT/Firewall Traversal
nat_enable: "1"
nat_address: ""
voip_control_port: "5061"
start_media_port: "16384"
end_media_port: "32766"
nat_received_processing: "0"
# Proxy Server
proxy1_address: "voip2.freephoneline.ca" ; Can be dotted IP or FQDN
proxy1_port: 5060
# Proxy Registration (0-disable (default), 1-enable)
proxy_register: 1
timer_register_expires: 3600
timer_keepalive_expires : 120
# Outbound Proxy Support
outbound_proxy: "voip2.freephoneline.ca" ; restricted to dotted IP or DNS A record only
outbound_proxy_port: 5060 ; default is 5060
#backup proxy
proxy_backup: "" ; Dotted IP of Backup Proxy
proxy_backup_port: 5060 ; Backup Proxy port (default is 5060)
proxy_emergency: "" ; Dotted IP of Emergency Proxy
proxy_emergency_port: 5060 ; Emergency Proxy port (default is 5060)
Good luck.
