Hi,
I have been using Fongo for a few years without any problems. I just switched my ISP from Rogers to CIKtel (FTTN DSL). Now I can only call some phone numbers but not some phone numbers.
With Rogers, I was using their cable modem and then my own wireless router performing NAT for the Cisco SPA112. With CIKTel, they shipped me a DSL modem integrated with wireless modem/NAT.
Any idea? I can make phone calls to some of my friends but not to some other friends. When they picked up the phone, it just went silence.
Thanks

CIKtel actually piggy backs on Rogers network. If i am not mistaken you will likely be using a Hitron modem. If you log into the modem, verify that SIP is enabled in the device.
Other than that, using a different modem should not affect your Fongo service in regards to reaching any destination.

Thanks. In my case, CIKTel is using Bell's copper loop. The integrated DSL modem cum wireless router is HG-800 OEMed by CIK (see the link below).
This morning, when my wife tries to call my cellphone from the Fonga "line" (both Fonga number and my cell have the same area code 613), it responded with "not sufficient fund" (NSF). I understand this NSF message would pop up if I call the US. Since I started to use Fonga, I have been calling my cell number all the times and there have never been a problem. Any idea about this NSF message?
Any help will be highly appreciated
