Register w/o a phone number?

So FPL wants me to register but I need a phone number to receive some sort of secret code. I don't have a phone number, hence the FPL account. Any solution? When I launch the Windows program and try to log in (with the same username and password I always use) it says "Wrong name or password!". Could this be because I'm not registered?
