Custom Caller ID

I purchased the AD Free version of the Android Fongo app for $6.99 which allows me to customize my Caller ID, which doesn't seem to be working for me.

I have changed the Caller ID field to what I want, yet when I call someone, just my number shows up on their phone, just as it did with the free version of the App. I've tried calling other land lines as well as other mobile devices, doesn't seem to be working on either.

Am I missing a step here?

As far as I know Fongo will pass along what you have set to the other Telcos, but it is up to them if they use it or not. I believe most will do their own lookups against your number.

I think that whatever you set should show up on other Fongo powered phone systems (FPL and such) but not to outside networks.
