Having some issues, update firmware?

Hi, I'm currently running Android 6.0.1 on my Samsung S6, been reluctant to upgrade to 7.0 since everything runs fine, except the Fongo app has had problems. It has failed to connect, and stayed failed until I make it try again (why doesn't it keep trying on its own?), and while it was connected properly it stalled trying to place a call, to the point I had to force-stop the app. When I reopened it the call went through fine. I also had a lot of problems registering in the first place, it would just go to a blank page.

I'm still just testing Fongo as a replacement for my cellular phone service, I'll need much better reliability. It could easily be an issue with my phone, which an OS update might fix. But before I do is Fongo running smoothly on Android 7.0? I'm a jerk about updating OS's, I drive them into the ground. Still on Windows 7...
