My friend has $4.95 phone plan and Grandstream adaptor with Fongo. Can he buy his own VOIP adaptor and transfer his phone number to his adaptor to stop monthly bills?
What should he do to do that?
Thanks.
Got Granstream adaptor for $4.95 plan and now own adpaor
Re: Got Granstream adaptor for $4.95 plan and now own adpaor
He would first need to sign up with the sister company www.freephoneline.ca
Then he would have to purchase an unlock key which will allow him to bring his own device (currently $79.95 one time fee) and set up his ATA.
Finally he would need to move his number over from Home Phone which will cost $5 https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/articles/212436246
It's obviously a larger initial outlay, but it pays for itself in the end as long as he stays long enough.
