Can I use HT-812 from another provider with Fongo?

I currently have a GrandStream HT-812 ATA with another home phone provider. Would I be able to use this HT-812 ATA device with Fongo Home Phone instead of the one provided by Fongo?

I'm pretty sure Fongo Home Phone requires you to buy their ATA. However, you can contact them and ask:

Provided the HT-812 is unlocked, you can use it with Freephoneline's VoIP unlock key for $99.95+tax, with the understanding that you are your own technical support. Freephoneline does not provide free technical support.
