I recently ordered Fongo Home Phone but it hasn't arrived yet.
I don't know yet what ties a Fongo phone number to a physical device, and how calls are routed.
Can I install "Fongo for PC" on my PC or laptop and use the same phone number as for my Home Phone (ATA) or does the PC have to have its own number like mobile devices do? If I can, does that mean I can take the laptop out of the house or does it have to be on the same (sub)net?
Can I use my ATA and PC with the same phone number?

Yes but it's not a good idea cause they will steal each other SIP register so that you don't know it will ring on your phone or PC
You can download Fongo desktop app and use it for now when you get your Fongo device then just use Fongo ATA only
