Iphone + Fpl+ So Works Great!

Post by alijoker »

Ah, Finally got my iphone 2g. Bought the FPL config file. Jailbroke it and put SIPphon apps, FPL works perfectly and I have unlimited talking whenever I am home, or find a Wifi Hotspot;). Also with a Speakout prepaid sim card. Lastly, all the features the iphone has.

One sick combo for a seldom cell phone user!!!
Very Satisfied! :D :D :D :D :D :D

Okay,
Get this app from cydia ( siphon)
Make sure you get the latest version.
Download it.
Pretty straight forward : Put your FPL SIP Username , FPL SIP Password, and Proxy . Done.

Siphone is now in the app store (legally) so now you don't need a cracked iPhone!:)

I would wait for other users to respond, since I've not used Siphone at all.

I believe the speakout part is for pay as you go for a back up for a quick call on the go, where no hotspot is available.

(Speakout = pay as you go. Available only though 7-11 stores)

What version of Siphon are you using?

I've tried both 2.2 and 2.3rc3, both got no audio on FPL

Did you enable the G729 codec? Compare your settings with mine: http://forum.freephoneline.ca/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1562

I have Siphon 2.2.0 on iPhone 3G with iOS 3.1.2
