Any chance of getting free local calls to Surrey? I was surprised to learn that there isn't already.
Thanks!

Hmm, the NPA/NXX of where my girlfriend was trying to call was 778-877 and I got the recording "your account balance is insuffienct" and on the FPL page that lists free areas to call I didn't see Surrey on there.

Surrey is essentially grouped in as the greater Vancouver area when it comes to telco.

Re: Surrey, BC
Surrey, as you call it, does work. If you were unable to call it, it was a dial translation issue (error) at FPL.zedsdead wrote:Any chance of getting free local calls to Surrey? I was surprised to learn that there isn't already.
Thanks!
Surrey, itself does not exist.
It is made up of the following "areas" or switches (or at least parts of):
NEWTON (also covers part of North Delta)
WHALLEY (incl Bridgeview, part of North Delta_
CLOVERDALE (all)
LANGLEY (down near the 192nd street border)
FORT LANGLEY (Port Kells area)
You will see that those do indeed appear in the free calling list. BTW and for the record, I am living in Surrey ... Or, per my post, more correctly, WHALLEY.
