Question about Home Phone & Internet Boundle
As people would get connectting during travel, is it allowed to bring the boundled ATA box to register from other place in the trip, other than from the boundle router? Thanks.

Re: Question about Home Phone & Internet Boundle
Yes, if you can get it working. Freephoneline does not do anything to prevent that, but some ISP's can be a lot more hard nosed. The chances are good it will just work though.

Yes, it is, but don't forget, as the TOS for E911 state you must update your profile to your new location.jchen wrote:As people would get connectting during travel, is it allowed to bring the boundled ATA box to register from other place in the trip, other than from the boundle router? Thanks.

Re: Question about Home Phone & Internet Boundle
Maybe I read the question wrong, but if you are talking about the DSL bundle that FPL offers, the modem and ATA is all in one. It is the Thomson 784. So they can't really be split, and I don't know if you take the modem to another line if it will still work. There is nothing stopping you however from buying another ATA, or use a softphone, for when you are away from home. Just make sure you disable the phones on the router before you go or they will keep stealing the registration back from your other ATA and the phones will probably become unstable because you will have two ATAs registering at once.
Re: Question about Home Phone & Internet Boundle
Can't you just login via the softphone instead? That would be easier than bringing an ATA when I travel.
(This doesn't change the fact you have to unplug the one at home or else that registration conflict will occur.)
