I saw a couple threads about 911, etc, and though I think testing 911 is a good idea (not getting into that), it's something that just won't be promoted here for lots of reasons. So, here's an idea:
Have a test number like "899" or "211" or something. People would setup "211" in their dial plans that connects to FPL's test/echo service. They would dial, and when they get through to 211, changing the "2" in their dialplan to "911" ensures that they will connect to 911 when needed. This can also be used to diagnose other voice/connection problems as well. The dialplan would have been tested and gives people a peace of mind.
Not a high priority feature, but something that could/would be useful I'm sure that would cost only to get the programming changed.
