Just thought it would be a good idea if when you click "view" in the voice mail section, it opens the .au file there instead of going to another page and then opening it, i don't think there is any information there that is not shown on the original page.

This is correct for regular voice messages viper610; however, when one receives a fax message that 'view' option comes in handy as it will be filled with all the fax headers as well as the PDF form of that fax.
