Click to Call (Web Portal)

Click to Call (Web Portal)

I just moved over to FreePhoneLine from PhonePower with whom I had been with for the last seven years.

PhonePower's web portal offered the ability for clients to make telephone calls from locations where they did not have a SIP client or ATA adapter available. Essentially, the web portal offered an option where a client could enter the telephone number that they were at and the telephone number that they wanted to call. Then, by pressing "Call" the system would ring their location and connect them to the number that they wanted to call. Sort of like a three way call scenario.

Charges for "Click to Call" were based on the subscription level, the location of the number that they were at and the location of the number that they were calling. For example, it might be that the client would incur two long distance charges for the one call (one charge to connect the line that they were at and another to connect the number that they were calling). On the other hand, if one or both numbers were in free calling areas, then only one long distance charge or no charges would be inured.

It would be great if FreePhoneLine could add a similar feature in the future. Possibly as a revenue generator, clients (such as myself) could be charged a nominal amount to have the feature available, plus whatever long distance charges that might apply based on the calls that were being made. Sort of like what Bell does with feature add-ons (but please don't overcharge like what Bell does). I, for one, would likely subscribe to this feature.

Thanks for the suggestion! I will be sure this is passed through the appropriate internal channels along with your other suggestion.
