One way voice
Hello,
I'm a new user of FPL. The other side of the phone line can hear me well but i cant hear them. I am behind a rogers cable modem/router. I have forwarded the required ports to the linksys ata rt31p2 with no luck. I have also configured the ata to be in dmz. That did not help either. I suspected since my ata device was 6 years old perhaps it was defective, so i replaced it with a borrowed pap2. Still have the same issue. Also note i have another voip service on line 1 of rt31p2 that works with no issues. Any ideas what i might be missing.
Thanks

Re: One way voice
I just solved my issue by changing the server from voip.freephoneline.ca to voip2.freephoneline.ca.
I don't have an explanation why this change helped. But this leads me to believe the root cause of the issue is not at my end.

By the way, I have noticed, you can all FPL numbers perfectly with two way voice.

I think you posted inn the wrong thread, your issue is with the ATA, these users here have an issue with the desktop app.
Thanks,

Few of my friends moved to FPL recently. All of them had the same issue which was resolved once they configured voip2.freephoneline.ca to be the proxy. I think FPL support needs to look into this issue. There is something fishy about voip.freephoneline.ca.

I don`t think you have "resolved" the issue.
The ATA is still miss configured.
I have assisted a few users with this issue and they all had config problems.
In order to have this fixed permanently, you have to either send me a PM with your account# either open a support ticket by emailing at support@fongo.com.
I would prefer if you open a ticket, but it's up to you.
Thanks,
